Let people post where they want too and quit whining and complaining about every damn thing. This place is like a kindergarten school yard sometimes. Shheezzz.

Freedom of speech. Its the off season. If NMSU wants to have 12 straight topics discussing how the refs help them win 100 straight wac tournaments and every recruit they sign is Siakam so then so be it, they have a passionate fan base. I respect that.

If you don't like NMSU news join another conference. Matter of fact I'm needing some good GCU news about now since they are the #1 pick in the conference right now. Why doesn't the HAVOCS go to Bakersfield this year for their road game? How far a drive is it from Phoenix to Bakersfield? The Havocs would take up about half the gym!

RE: Discussion what you believe shoud be posted (from 2018 MBB WAC Commits)
The reason we decided to separate some of the school specific posts is because the WAC board was getting inundated with (primarily) NMSU specific posts about a single recruit signing or just random accomplishments of the university. We have school specific boards that can be used for a single school's content.

We're not going to make everyone happy, but if you have suggestions please let us know. If the majority of posters feel it's fine to post all single school specific posts to the general board then we can always revisit the posting guidelines. And keep in mind, not everyone is going to perceive the intent of a post the same way. If you feel there's an issue then please message myself or CP. Mentioning it within the thread is bound to derail the original topic.

So.. What would you like to see? Anything you'd like stickied (i.e.. WAC commits)? This is still evolving and we're open to change.

The delusions here are outstanding the game was sold out last year and GCU brought like 30 people.

I just want a stickied recruiting thread for discussion of all things recruiting. The way it should be. I don't need to be bombarded with every single new NMSU recruit which you guys know Frank will keep doing anyway.

I understand there is an imbalance between Aggie topics and the rest of the WAC but we (the Aggie fans) are not stopping other schools from posting individual threads about their recruits; or, posts about subjects that directly effect them and not other WAC schools. Heck, GCU fans should be on this board constantly talking about their new players and prospects; talking about some of the high profile players Majerle has made scholarship offers; the large increase in their attendance since joining the WAC; And, about finally being D1 eligible. Most basketball site have GCU winning the conference.

I definitely understand. Personally, I feel the interest from others (as a whole) would be lacking if I posted consecutive topics about CSU, and it's probably better suited for the team specific board. However, some posts may be about a single school but could impact the rest of the WAC. Those are ones where a broader audience is likely warranted. Others may disagree, and that's perfectly okay. Discussion is good.

We obviously have more Aggie fans on here so the discussions are going to be more engaged when it comes to NMSU, typically. The thing we, as a group, need to decide is if it takes away from the general WAC discussion by such posts being made in the general thread? Or if a post relates to anything WAC (recruiting and scheduling as they have could impact the conference as a whole) then go ahead and post it in the general forum.

Keep the feedback coming!

The only time I want to see an NMSU thread on the main page is during the season and only if they lose.

RE: Discussion what you believe shoud be posted (from 2018 MBB WAC Commits)
I personally dont have a problem with whats going on, overall. I DO want posters to stick to the already begun threads on recruiting (which i feel was NOT being done a few weeks ago. We had lots of "____ signs new recruit" threads as new posts.) It was addressed by the mods and if followed, should work to all's (or most all ) satisfaction.

Otherwise, its the off season. My opinion is....the level of competition is equalizing and that is driving some of the passion here. If it was just NMSU running the tables, I really doubt we'd have some of the stuff we do. So, in a way, its a good sign...its not just a one school conference anymore. This helps in getting more national attention, and is good.

On a personally note, I'm not that active now as 1. I'm just not that big a basketball fan, and 2. I'm just tiring of the hype and just ready for the games to be played, and see who has it, and who doesn't.
I really don't see too much being out of line on these boards when I see what goes on on other conference's boards.

If this is rambling..... I'll review it when my IPA wears off.

Everything was fine until Frank messed everything up. There really should have just been 1 rule created and that was for Frank to stop being a troll. I really don't mind reading about other schools.

Thanks for the feedback in the recruiting, Clarity.

I am relatively new and do not post much. However, over the past 4-5 months I have read pretty much everything, enjoyed most of it, and learned some things along the way. For that I say thanks.

As for rules, I'd prefer very little monitoring in terms of topics. Anything WAC related should be acceptable even if it is just about one team. It would just be up to the poster to decide if they want to place it on the main board or on a team specific board. Moderators should only need to monitor inappropriate behavior (with lots of leniency here since part of the fun are the little digs everyone pokes at each other).

In terms of the original intent of this 2018 MBB WAC Commits, I saw no problem with it. I see it as different from the thread Clarity started since that was 2017-2018 commits and this one appears to be 2018-2019 commits. Makes sense to have different threads for "clarity's" sake (pun intended).

RE: Discussion what you believe shoud be posted (from 2018 MBB WAC Commits)
In my mind adding these rules were called for by non-Aggie posters in order to put restraints on one specific Aggie poster from flooding this board with asinine non-WAC topics . But let's get real, he will not adhere to any set board rules about topics; especially if he is going to be policed by a certain CSUB poster. He lives to get under the skin of posters from other schools. So, why are we making rules that restrain the rest of us from conversing when it really doesn't fix the problem; of the one who goes rogue on occasion. It just makes more unneeded work for CP and JA84 to keep the rest of us on topic. We are all adults. We can monitor ourselves and our topics.

So, most are here inputting and giving their ideas and you are just dumping fuel on the fire and stirring the pot further. And, you are one of the longtime posters here too.

Even in the latest of Frank's posts about WAC Tourney records (decent thread, BTW), your only input, so far, is how you expect Clarity to have an issue. That stuff isn't helping any of this.

NMSU has two of them, they are called Aggie Alert (Sports Trough) and Crimson Country (Pete's Saloon). Why are we going to start a third "Aggie" specific board? If we are not going to converse with posters from other schools then why the heck are we on this board?

Man, the Sun Belt forum didn't have this much issues over sports (and school) topics. Maybe this explains why they did away with team specific boards.
