Said he's played Muirfield, St. Andrew's, Augusta, Seminole and Pine Valley...but that Old Waverly is his favorite golf course.

Is that where he played the most often with Hugh?

Pffft, I've even played St. Andrew's. Not really that hard.

As long as his list count stays under 10 then it is acceptable.

And I hate it, but I have to agree with him. Of the courses on that list that I have played....Old Waverly is the best.

Anybody can play St. Andrews or Pebble. They are both open to the public. However, it's probably harder to get on at Pine Valley than it is at Augusta.

That's a bilnd-side deflection of attention he's attempting there.

Old Waverly is nice. I haven't played the others he lists, but have played some (Sawgrass, Oakland Hills, Arcadia). OW is up there but I wouldn't say it's the best. Arcadia is hard to beat. Heck, Spring Creek is as good as OW.

OW was the first place I had to wear soft spikes though. A gentleman changed them out in the clubhouse for me. Lost 2-3 strokes because of it, and have never gotten them back.

They are adding a south course to Arcadia Bluffs.

Pine Valley and Cypress Point are nearly impossible.

I've never met him, but he typically comes across that way on the radio.

How far ahead did you have to make a reservation? I would love to, but I don't think you can make a reservation for a single. And my wife doesn't play.
