It's good people are underestimating this New Mexico State Aggie squad. Looking forward to our 24th NCAA Tournament Appearance.

So I noticed they pick NMSU as #2 in the WAC. Are they coosing GCU or Bakersfield to win the WAC?

My money is on GCU as well especially since within the article they mentioned the WAC was going to be a 3-team race between NMSU, UVU and GCU and both UVU and NMSU have already been listed. CSM must think the CSUB graduated too many of their best players so they did not even place them in the top 144.

Interesting starting line up for NMSU

They couldn't even get the starting five right for NMSU.

This year is going to be interesting. Can GCU win without Dwayne Russell? Are the Aggie guards going to be as good as advertised? Will Bakersfield continue to be consistently good? Is this UVUs year to win the WAC again? Will Seattle break through will new coach? Lots of questions. Exciting.

It's crazy to think we were ranked in the top 100 last season, and I believe this year's squad is better than last year's squad from the talent to the coaching. It's going to be fun shocking everyone who thinks NMSU will drop off this season. I'm going to guarantee a sweep over Bakersfield and GCU.

I'm happy you have an opinion on this matter. I think Weir is a better coach than Jans but the talent is better for Jans.

Negative. Chris Jans will be the WAC Coach of the Year.

Both have 1 year under their belt as a HC Weir did more with less. Plus you have Weir slotted at Henson 2.0 just last year.... Paul Weir is NMSU's Darth Vader lol

can't wait to revisit this.

I'm looking forward to a NMSU program ran by a great coach. GCU and Bakersfield have no idea what they got themselves into.

Every coach NMSU has is great until he leaves to another program when they become a bum again and the new coach is the new Henson.... Anyways back on topic so far I have see GCU as a 15 seed and NMSU as a 14 seed as predictions for March Madness. Cant wait!

Chicago State with the play-in game?

Related to the topic, I hope UVU comes back and has a solid year this year. They have a lot of talent coming back so I definitely wouldn't sleep on them.
