And if so, are there any OTA tv or radio stations that you can watch/listen to from Los Angeles?

I live in LA but have spent a lot of time in LV. It's about 250 miles, with mountains in between. You might be able to pick up KFI (640AM - 50,000 watt transmitter) if atmospheric conditions are just right, but otherwise no.
