Great guy and player. Services were in Austin today.

+1000. All-american nose tackle in 1974, and I believe he ran track his first couple seasons. He was a Senior my Freshman year ('74) and ruled the 3rd floor of Baker College. Terrific guy. Friendly to everyone.

Wow! Still a relatively young guy? Any news re cause of death?

read his obit in the Austin American Statesmen - didn't mention what happened. His dad was in the Air Force at Bergstrom AFB (now Bergstrom airport) right there on hwy 71, where all those B-52's were parked in the 70's and 80's. So he attended Del Valle high school close by.
