ULM took out #8 Arkansas after they fired Petrino. You guys are in a good position.

I was going to bring that up. That could easily happen.

I commented about the opportunity in the other thread. With the Jags opening up against Ole Missdial, I think USA could steal one for the Sun Belt. By the time the Cajuns square off against the Rebels in November, they could be completely demoralized giving UL a great chance at a P5 scalp.

Big opportunity. ULL has a chance later in the season as well.

Timing-wise, I think ULL is on much better shape to beat OM. They'll probably be fired up, if somewhat disorganized, in game 1. By the time ULL sees them I think reality will have set in.

It was a hell of a play and it was all improvised by Kolton Browning. I was at the game and as you can imagine we all went nuts. Went out that night in Little Rock and had a blast! I was also at the game when we beat Bama and Mississippi St. I was always impressed with the Bama fans that congregated by the tunnel our players left out of that stayed and cheered our team and they went back to the locker room. Classy move.

The coaching change may make an upset less likely. Ole Miss will go through fall camp with the new guy and they will be fired up to make sure no upset will happen. Where USA will benefit is with the Ole Miss play calling. IMO Freeze is the best play caller in the game and was able to take advantage of any defect in talent or scheme. Big advantage for the Jags not having to face Hugh in this regard.

The fact that Freeze refuses to call a play from under center on 4th and 1 negates his possibility of being the best play caller in the game.

For conversational purposes only, who beats him? The fact he has beaten Saban twice is in my corner.

I will be pulling for you guys but you have to beat the officials first. Sometimes its not just the calls but the no calls that kill you.

That shouldn't be an issue. The Belt and the SEC share the same refs.

If you never go under center at any point, 4th and 1 is not the time to start doing it. You can mess yourself up due to the differences in the snap mechanics.

See us vs NC State for a perfect example. We went under center once in 2014 and promptly fumbled. Didn't do it again under Fritz.
