Will he regret it if LeBron leaves?

The Cavs need all the weapons they can muster and Rose would provide a solid punch in the right role.

I would enjoy seeing him play for a championship caliber team.

I don't think DR would care one lick if LB is around. He's looking for a job.
Rose still has some offensive game left. He averaged 18 points last year. and that's not bad.

Funny thing...Cleveland brought in Kyle Korver to make that one shot that he missed, otherwise this idea they are well behind would be gone. But would never hurt to bring in a Rose...who if, and it is a big huge if, he gets healthy would be a former MVP in his prime years...arguably making them the favorite. No kidding.

Add a HEALTHY Derrick Rose and you add an NBA all star player. But that is a massive if.

Plus it would be a 1 year deal, so if it works they could work to keep the whole team together, and if it doesn't then both D Rose and the Cavs are not tied to each other long term.

Right, it will be a one year deal no matter where he signs at this point. He is not going to make much this year (relative to NBA salaries) and is hoping to have a bounce back year and sign a much larger multi-year contract next summer.

They may need a starting point guard.

From what I read, Irving asked last week to be traded. The Rose talks heated up in the last couple days. I'm guessing Rose is in response to his request.

Kyrie has spoken very highly of LeBron and has openly accepted that he is not the singular man. He has gone out of his way to point out that winning three straight conference titles and an NBA championship is what it is about. No need to go there.

And, he is a really good player who has no worries about his stature.

Seeing potential for James leaving...he may indeed want to get out, not to be the man, but to not languish.

The knicks are on his list of teams. That doesn't scream of someone who wants to win

Of course, every single report states that Kyrie wants to be more of a focal point.

According to respected reporters like Brian Windhorst or whatever his name is, Irving wants to be the focal point of a team and feels like he isn't in Cleveland.

If so, I hope he enjoys years of futility with a team like Orlando.

I will admit...after what he said during the playoffs about playing with LeBron, this seems surprising. Pundits believe it is still about LeBron, and Irving not wanting to be caught in Cleveland should James leave, and being perplexed that james would possibly leave, and what that reflects about him.

With Rose and anything Kyrie similar Cleveland still a favorite. Would have been easier if Kyrie made these demands before George and Jimmy Butler went elsewhere.
