New poles and lights are up. Three per side. Looks nice.

Anyone have photos??

Now our lighting is 21st century caliber.

I remember the game story in the Washington Post from the EMU Maryland game long ago. They thought the stadium was 'dark and cold' (I believe it was a night game in October.).

The stadium is more colorful, concrete is less an issue and the lighting hopefully up to current standards.

Dear steve,
I too, would hope the lighting is up to snuff. Otherwise why spend all that money for insufficient lighting? I'm sure it will make a huge difference for the night games.

I'm assuming the news lights are higher efficiency too. Lower the electricity bill.

Yes, and I don't believe we could get replacement bulbs.

Ha! Our stadium lighting was obsolete, explains the burnt out lights last season. Has the sound system been upgraded?

Believe it or not, but the sound system was upgraded about 10 years ago (and yes, it leaves a LOT to be desired).

Any chance we could get 2 scoreboards?--something even high schools have.

I've been to a few dozen High School fields and don't believe I've ever seen one with two scoreboards. One is enough for rynearson. It just needs to be in the right location. Like inside the track. That's part of the big plan in place anyway.

Indeed, if Bob had been reading the threads here or looking at the building plan, the new scoreboard is built into the new building.

Hence, there won't be a stand-a-lone replacement for the current one.

Looks like they did it right. Looking forward to a noticeable improvement next Friday.

And I hope BobW read my posts that lighting was part of a campus project, not specifically an athletic department funded initiative.

Have been in the stadium at night with the new lights. They are incredible. Also, stadium getting a bunch of minor concrete repairs.
