Fraternities and Sororities
Which ones exist at your schools?

Tulsa IFC Fraternities:
Pi Kappa Alpha
Kappa Sigma
Kappa Alpha
Lambda Chi Alpha
Sigma Chi

Tulsa Pan Helenic Sororities:
Chi Omega
Delta Delta Delta
Kappa Kappa Gamma
Kappa Delta
Delta Gamma
Kappa Alpha Theta

There are also some historically African American fraternities and sororities as well as a strictly community service oriented fraternity on campus but they are less well known to most students. Sigma Nu used to have a house on campus but is no longer recognized by the university. There's also a band fraternity that has decent membership.

RE: Fraternities and Sororities
UC's a bit lopsided by # of organizations, but there are actually more sorority women (1,820 when I worked there) than fraternity men (1,600). It actually started back in 1840, so it has been a pretty prevalent part of the UC culture for quite some time, although with the commuter status of the 70's-90's, there wasn't a ton going on. Definitely picking back up now. We also have all nine of the Divine Nine (AA Fraternities and Sororities)

Fraternities:
Alpha Chi Rho
Alpha Epsilon Pi
Alpha Sigma Phi
Alpha Tau Omega
Beta Theta Pi (Second Chapter)
Delta Tau Delta (4th Chapter)
Kappa Sigma
Lambda Chi Alpha
Phi Delta Theta
FIJI
Phi Kappa Tau
Phi Kappa Theta
Pi Kappa Alpha
Pi Kappa Phi
Sigma Alpha Epsilon (Second Chapter in the North)
Sigma Chi (Second Chapter)
Sigma Phi Epsilon
Sigma Tau Gamma
Tau Kappa Epsilon
Theta Chi
Triangle (5th Chapter)

(Only chapters above 100 are Beta, Pike, SAE, SigEp, and SigChi...most others are below 50)

Sororities:
Chi Omega
Delta Delta Delta
Gamma Phi Beta
Kappa Alpha Theta
Kappa Delta
Kappa Kappa Gamma
Phi Mu
Pi Beta Phi
Phi Sigma Rho
Theta Phi Alpha

(Every chapter is over 150, and KKG, Theta, and Pi Phi are over 175, there were a few more, but they were permanently banned in the early 00's for running an escort service...)

You can see some of the 5 that were founded at Miami (Beta Theta Pi, Sigma Chi, Phi Delta Theta, Delta Zeta, and Phi Kappa Tau) bleeding over to Cincinnati for their second chapters.

A more interesting topic would be what fraternities or sororities have been kicked off your campus, and why?

I made this thread so people could see if their chapters exist on conference mates' campuses should they be interested in visiting someone else's school.

We don't have a lot of Greek life at WSU. Students are too busy shocking wheat, milking cows, and helping the sheep get over the fence.

I'll play. I'm not sure if this fraternity was kicked off, but they didn't acquit themselves as the best and brightest. One of the larger parks in Cincinnati - Burnet Woods - borders campus. A number of the fraternity houses are on the other side of the park, including the PIKE house, which overlooks the park. When I was a student, the PIKEs got into the holiday spirit and cut down a sizable Blue Spruce in the middle of the night in the park to use as their Christmas tree. It was a gorgeous tree, and they must have been proud of it. So, they put it up in a window overlooking the park. They dragged the tree a considerable distance across the park, so the police and Cincinnati Parks may or may not have made the connection to that tree being the one that was illegally cut. Except for one detail. It snowed six inches the night they dragged it through the park. They were caught rather easily the next morning.

As someone who worked is FSL at UC for three years...my god the stories I could tell.
So glad I chose to get out of Greek Life, my life has become so much less stressful in Academic Affairs and Admission 03-lmfao

RE: Fraternities and Sororities
Got a call about 6 months ago asking if I wanted to donate to keep my fraternity on campus. I asked how they ran out of money. Apparently they did $80,000 damage to a hotel and the fraternity house so I said no thanks shut it down.

Yep, Beta and Sigma Chi were started at UC the year after they began at Miami. The whole Beta story at Miami is interesting if you ever want to read how much Midwestern colleges (even the snooty elitist ones) hated fraternities back then.
