RE: Terry Swanson
Thanks for posting. Excited to see Terry in the spotlight this season. He has shown he has the capabilities to be in contention for such a prestigious award.

I agree, he has potential to have enormous year with our passing game taking the pressure off the run. Plus, I think he is tough as nails and a competitor.

I don't doubt Swanson's ability. To me the key will be do we have a couple other backs who can be productive while giving him some rest every game--and I think we do.

Oh... and it would be nice to see him finish a few 80+ yard runs in the end zone instead of on the 2 or 3 yard line (smile).

Swanson and Thompkins will do a nice job this year if all goes as expected. Thompkins could have played more last year if it weren't for DJM and some guy named Hunt. McCrimmon and Seymour could be special even though unknown. Incoming freshman Sims could contribute early as well. There are a few unknowns, but the top two should be very good.

I think the rb position is in good hands for the forseeable future!

It sure looks like it. Based on what I saw last year, it looked to me like Swanson improved significantly in the area where he was behind Hunt.

I don't understand why Toledo didn't give opposing defensive coordinators nightmares by putting Hunt and Swanson in the backfield at the same during games......

Which one would you key on????

I often thought the same thing. Especially in cold weather and pound the ball. Sometimes you need to possess the ball and run clock.

then after you get everyone moved up in the box, do a double fake handoff and send Thompson or one of the Johnsons over the top for 6!!!!!!!
