How does UCONN "right the ship?"

UNLV hasn't won an NCAA tournament game since 2008. Comparing the 2 is quite funny. Thanks for the laugh.

I don't care about UNLV. We haven't lost to them in years.

Nice deflection. How does UCONN right the ship?

What's your obsession with UCONN? You don't care about UNLV, but you responded to my post about them needing to right the ship. LOL.

Are you trying to learn how to become a National Championship winning program?

Well, considering SDSU went 19-11 last year, it is not as off the ship is sinking.

- find a big for 2017 - Check. We are bringing in Rooks from Cal.

- Senior Leadership - Kell and Pope need to be more vocal and take accountability for the team

- Consistency out of Pope - kid was a projected lottery pick when he chose SDSU. He needs to be more consistent.

That's it. If point two and three happen, SDSU will win 25+ games and will clearly be back in the NCAA tourney ( would have been in for 2016 with the new evaluation criteria).

Aresco announced today that Temple and Miami (Florida) have agreed to a home and home in football. Nothing confirmed by either school but would be good news for Temple.

I said UNLV needs to right the ship, not SDSU.

As far as UCONN is concerned, our top players need to stay healthy and if there is no post-season bid then Ollie needs to go.

What a well thought out counter-argument you've got there.

Sorry, there is nothing to counter. The poster just threw a hissy fit. Nothing more appropriate that that emoji. Amusing coming from a fan of a program with he lowest ceiling in the American.

Wait, fanhood, help me understand... I've been crying myself to sleep because you informed me Navy has a low ceiling...but we're not the lowest in the conference?

Yes, Navy is at 11. UCONN would be at 12 in my opinion.

Not at all. Houston, SMU, USF, UCF and Cincinnati all have very high ceilings.

ECU, Tulsa and Memphis would be tier 2.

Temple, and Tulane would be Tier 3.

Navy and UCONN would clearly be lower then the rest.

Explanation of the Tier criteria would be nice. Recruiting grounds? In-state competition? Fan-base? Resources? Head coaches? ...?

You win if Navy has 6 wins or fewer in the regular season (which includes Army).
I win if Navy has 7 or more wins in the regular season (FAU through Army, excluding AAC championship)

ill disagree here.... tulsa has the lowest ceiling simply based on alumni size and brand

uconn has some football recruiting limitation but it isnt something that cant be overcome..
ive said this for ages..uconn could easily be the oregon of the east..every limitation of uconn is a limitation of Oregon...but both have brand and money...they just need a chip kelly type spark plug

and temple is the largest fbs in the 4th biggest tv market in a football state...temples ceiling is extreme high...they arent as close to reaching that ceiling as some others are but they have a high ceiling...

I don't see the comparison to Oregon at all. Oregon has oodles of cash, incredible facilities, and a great on-campus stadium. Plus, they have one of the best recruiting states adjacent to them (with relatively few D1 schools per population), a decent (4 ESPN Top 300 kids this year) base of talent in-state, and they're in the Pac-12.

Temple, and Tulane would be Tier 3.

Navy and UCONN would clearly be lower then the rest.

ill disagree here.... tulsa has the lowest ceiling simply based on alumni size and brand

uconn has some football recruiting limitation but it isnt something that cant be overcome..
ive said this for ages..uconn could easily be the oregon of the east..every limitation of uconn is a limitation of Oregon...but both have brand and money...they just need a chip kelly type spark plug

and temple is the largest fbs in the 4th biggest tv market in a football state...temples ceiling is extreme high...they arent as close to reaching that ceiling as some others are but they have a high ceiling...

Connecticut produces espn 300's too..they dont have any this year but they had 2 last year

uconn has incredible facilities and the money to upgrade..uconn has oodles of cash..they make 30 mil more revenue than the average AAC...uconn stadium is nice fully funded by the state and was once used to entice an nfl team..its off campus but so is pitts, no one is complaining

conn is closer to new jersey and penn than oregon is to most cali recruits, adjacent aside

the p5 this is the only edge, but we are talking relative to this league
