Also there is a rumor going around that in 2018-19 Marshall will be making a west coast tour that will include Washington and Gonzaga.

Anyone else had their conference schedule released yet.

RE: CUSA Men's Conference Schedules
These schedules are ridiculous. Using the football divisions, MT will play 10 of the 18 games against teams from the west. Only one game each against ODU and Charlotte. And once again no Saturday home game with wkcc. We play eight games against UTEP, UTSA, USM, UNT and La Tech and only two games total with Charlotte and ODU? Really? WTF? If there is any saving grace it's that we only have to play FIU and FAU once each.

Who makes these stupid schedules. Is Judy doing these or leaving to the interns?

So much for rewarding the team that's earned the league an extra $3 million.

The permanent home-&-home games and travel partners have been the same for the past few years.

Nothing has changed. You are not getting rewarded nor punished.

The home and home games have changed a bit this year. UAB & MT each no longer play the Florida schools twice, and pick up home & homes with La Tech & Southern Miss.

UAB's schedule is a mirror of Middle Tennessee's and is generally being viewed as a positive development in Birmingham.

Looks like the schedule is pitting the projected higher RPI teams together more which is a positive development and giving those teams less games with the projected lower RPI teams.

Then why is the two teams that finished highest in the RPI last year only playing once?

I would like to believe it but I just don't see the league's leadership being that smart.

RE: CUSA Men's Conference Schedules
What I can tell of ODU's schedule from what's been posted so far:

12/28/17 ????
12/30/17 ????
01/04/18 @ Rice
01/06/18 @ North Texas
01/11/18 vs WKU
01/13/18 vs Marshall
01/18/18 ????
01/20/18 ????
01/25/18 ????
01/27/18 ????
02/01/18 vs MTSU
02/03/18 vs UAB
02/08/18 ????
02/10/18 ????
02/15/18 vs UTSA
02/17/18 vs UTEP
02/22/18 @ Marshall
02/24/18 @ WKU
03/01/18 ????
03/03/18 ????

So we've got 10/18 games already known for the schedule. Only H/H right now is Marshall and WKU. It looks like ODU got taken off the Rice/UNT H/H series. Teams left for the schedule: La Tech, USM, FAU, FIU, Charlotte. We know that ODU will have a H/H with Charlotte. This means that one of FAU/FIU and LT/USM will be a H/H pair for ODU, while the other will be a one way series.

Current H/H pairs for LT/USM: MT/UAB, UTEP/UTSA
Current H/H pairs for FAU/FIU: Rice/UNT

Looks like ODU and UNC-C got stuck with the florida twins. 03-banghead03-banghead03-banghead

Looking at the schedule, it looks like the remaining games for ODU will look like this:

Home: FAU, FIU, Charlotte
Away: FAU, FIU, Charlotte, USM, La Tech

And if I were to guess what ODU's schedule would be based on looking at how other schedules have turned out, here's my called shot for the ODU Men's Basketball conference schedule:

12/28/17 BYE (not lt/usm)
12/30/17 vs UNC-C (not lt/usm)
01/04/18 @ Rice
01/06/18 @ North Texas
01/11/18 vs WKU
01/13/18 vs Marshall
01/18/18 @ FIU (not lt/usm)
01/20/18 @ FAU (not lt/usm)
01/25/18 BYE (not fau/fiu)
01/27/18 @ UNC-C (not fau/fiu)
02/01/18 vs MTSU
02/03/18 vs UAB
02/08/18 @ USM
02/10/18 @ La Tech
02/15/18 vs UTSA
02/17/18 vs UTEP
02/22/18 @ Marshall
02/24/18 @ WKU
03/01/18 vs FAU
03/03/18 vs FIU

Bolded games are the guesses.

In summary: 03-puke

FIU had a better record than UNT, S, Miss, Rice, and UTSA two out of the last 3 seasons. I bet your team will enjoy that road trip more than any other this season. So will any ODU fans that makes

This year Marshall's OOC is also regional with:
Ohio
Toledo
Akron
Morehead State
EKU
Chatty
William and Mary
Xavier

Even Illinois is somewhat drivable.

I wouldn't mind getting other regional schools on the schedule to like ETSU, George Mason, Dayton, Davidson and a few others. Except for conference I don't think Marshall has been west of the Mississippi since 2006 when they were in the Alaska Shootout.
