Our records are what they were. stAte could bring up the Cajun loss; Cajuns could bring up the two OT chokes. Even Alabama could find excuses. Everyone can come up with a reason their team could have been better, but in reality, each team finishes where they belong.
I agree with the should coulda that's why I made my post to the Ga Southern fan.

I agree that with the level of talent GS was returning we shoulda and most definitely coulda, but didn't. We ultimately finished where we should have and it was a direct reflection of our coaching.

However I feel like a lot of people are looking at our 5-7 season and taking it at face value. We didn't really get "blown out" by anyone other than G5 champion WMU. Even our P5 games against Ole Miss and GT were decided by less than two touchdowns.

Im not trying to make excuses. I'm just saying I expect us to be better this year with a head coach that's coming into his second year, a new Paul Johnson protege to bring back the option, and a D-Line that won't be as young and inexperienced as last year. I'm remaining hopeful for a 7-5 season.

You lost to us by more than you lost to WMU though.

Our game last year frustrates me so much.

Neither team really did anything until you guys started moving the ball in mid-late 3rd quarter after our offensive staff couldn't manage anything beyond a 3 and out. Both teams were absolutely terrible on 3rd down too.

It was like dying by a thousand paper cuts.

Once you guys kicked a FG to go up 13-10 I knew we had already lost. We just had no capability to put the offense in a position to succeed. Defenses can only hold on so long before a competent staff can take advantage of them.

Yeah I was right there in the endzone. I liked watching that guy play. Georgia Southern is a good trip took the wife to Savanah and then game. Going to trick my wife into a Coastal game by including Charleston trip into the game.

I watched the travesty of the App game in person.

I watched the stAte game on TV so I was somewhat disconnected from it. That was just a huge let down because we only TRULY lost the game with no time on the clock.

The App game was a cluster**** from the beginning, outside of the FG we ran back. Hell even the process of getting into the locker room at halftime was a disaster.

Yeah, yeah, and Quick was out of bounds, Armanti really wanted to go to jawja suthern, we don't stomp on team meals after the game, we don't ram field goals through bus windows, we don't have fans who steal ambulances, and we don't use laser pointers on kickoff returns ! 05-mafia

Yep he was. He didn't get possession until he was laying on the ground OOB. Price (I think that was the WR in the 2012 game?) was inbounds though.

In that case he lied to one of the people from our board who was also a Payton voter in attendance at the banquet when he won.

Those all legit happened. I guess it's the "high" altitude.

What part of that post exactly are you snarking at? He's not accusing App or the refs of cheating or anything.

He did. Or at least, his helmet sensor went off indicating high lateral G-force to his head. Trainers took his helmet from him and wouldn't give it back so he had to come out.
