So it would be available on Roku for the additional $10/month if I'm reading this correctly.

yes. That is how much collegesportslive.com charges and they do have a roku channel.

Maybe the CAA will be free once the contracts are finalized, but based on the info we have....the CAA is looking to partner with CBS Digital, CBS digital uses collegesportslive.com for their college sports streaming, and per their website the fee is $10/month. CAA.TV has ZERO fall sports listed so that looks like a dead platform.

Here is another update from our friends at JMU.

Biggest takeaways...CBS digital may not include collegesportslive.com. if not collegesportslive.com i have no idea what CBS digital would be. CAA.TV will likely be used for games not broadcast on Twitter or CBS Digital.

Timeframe for announcement is about 3 weeks

Good news...CBS sports network will be available on directvnow soon thus increasing its availability dramatically to those without cable/satellite.

Directv now offers a free preview as well allowing CAA fans to subscribe for the ACA tournament for free

Update from Richmond Paper via JMU Board

Quote:RICHMOND — The Colonial Athletic Association has signed a new multi-year agreement with Stretch Internet, the conference announced Wednesday, extending the partnership between the two organizations.

Stretch is the official streaming provider for the CAA and nine of its member institutions, including James Madison’s MadiZone. As part of the new agreement, Stretch will build and host custom applications on select platforms, including ROKU, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV, in addition to the integration of live statistics and social media feeds that are featured on the online application.

The CAA is still finalizing its television agreement with CBS Digital and Twitter, which commissioner Joe D’Antonio announced last month at the league’s football media day. The only media contract in place for the upcoming season is the four-year deal with CBS Sports Network to televise the CAA men’s basketball tournament semifinals and championship game, which runs through 2021.

CAA.TV finally added some fall events this week so this is no real surprise but good to see it official.

CAA officially announcing partnertship with CBS Digital, which is the collegesportslive.com platform I mentioned earlier in the thread.

The CAA will have a football GOTW on this platform available for free on the website and mobile app. They have a Roku app too so it should be on that for free as well, but the press release did not specifically mention that so who knows.

JMU fans are a bit miffed by the announcement.
