WAC First-Team Predicts:
J Braun (GCU)
E Chuha (NMSU)
N Dixon (UTRGV)
I Neilson (UVU)
F Sims (Chi St)
Fringe: J Jones/Durham/Menzies

Sims probably won't get the love he deserves because of how bad Chi St. is overall, Menzies would take his spot, and I think Durham is better than Dixon as much as I can't stand guys like Durham.

RE: Way to early WAC 1st Team Predictions
It's tough to predict who could make 1st Team on NMSU squad. NMSU has three potential WAC Player of the Year candidates. It's going to be fun to watch NMSU play this season.

Unless Wilkins steps up his game, I'm not even sure he starts this season. He might have trouble keeping up with the Jones'.

I think you nailed it Clarity. However I think Briggs is way better than Aaron Menzies. Briggs went banana's in the NIT.

No way Toolsen is 1st team. He's not even the best player on Utah Valleys team.

Toolson was UVU's leading scorer as only a Sophomore a season ago. I think has the most upside of their returning players. And I think he will be a more proficient three point shooter this season. Neilson is good as well but I think he will split more of his playing time at center with Manyang.

Unexpected but I'll take it lol. I didn't want to go full homer lol. People are definitely sleeping on Briggs in fact I'm the only one who has him in the conversation. Like you said at the end of the year and the NIT he was dominant. Very physical guy with a nice mid range. The perfect Barnes player. I'm expecting 15 points and 7 boards a game.

Biggs will probably play starting power forward at only 6'5. I see Briggs as a more skilled but less athletic version of Kevin Mays. He won't rebound as well as Mays but he has a real nice mid-range game and uses the pump fake very well down low. Biggs will be CSUB's second leading scorer and rebounder. I see him as a All-WAC 2nd team candidate.

RE: Way to early WAC 1st Team Predictions
Not much of a difference but Briggs is 6'6. Barnes likes to play an undersized athletic PF which he did with Matt Smith who was also 6'6 but definitely played above his height never noticed him struggling with height. Smith is a bit more athletic and high flying but Briggs is a better shooter and has more overall talent. He will be dependent on scoring along with Durham.

Briggs is listed at 200-lbs. That seems a little lite to me. He look to be heavier; well over 200-lbs. Maybe it's because he has broad shoulders. Hmmm? He is kind of built like his head coach... wide shoulder, no neck. lol J/K :)
