Yep how I feel exactly, the last 8 years has just been a disaster overall for hoops program, thank god football turned it around...I could not imagine if football was as horrible as when we started FBS...What is Felton doing in Cleveland? He was an assistant at Tulsa last season....

I don't think this is all Stansbury's fault, willing to give him 3 more seasons to see how do like any other coach in WKU's history...

Felton took the Cleveland State job in March after Gary Waters retired.

There was a lot more going on that has not been brought to light about the whole Robinson and Williams situation. This was not a WKU or Stansbury problem. This was about people trying to take advantage of a 19 year old kid that is about to make millions and wants a piece of the action. Lies and back stabbing were the order of the day. Robinson may very well end up being the victim after its all said and done.

I'm sorry that WKU lost out on having this guy. Sounds like he is a really good player and would have helped the overall profile of the conference by playing with WKU.

I totally understand where you are coming from. Many years ago a kid (Michael Evans - Parade All American) from Norfolk was a consensus tie for being the best point guard coming out of high school that year. ODU had been heavily recruiting him and had a strong chance of getting him, then things quickly turned south due to the same things you mentioned above. The kid ended up enrolling at UNO I believe and never panned out being pulled in so many different directions by people that wanted to ride his coat tails.

I forget the kid (from California I believe) that he was tied with as being the #1 point guard, but know that he ended up with a long distinguished NBA career. It was around the early 90's that they were high school seniors.

Edit: I went back and looked it up. Jason Kidd was the other point guard coming out of high school that season. He was 1st team Parade All American. Michael Evans was 3rd team Parade All American. I remember reading about it since Evans was a local kid being recruited by ODU that several recruiting gurus had him and Kidd as being pretty much equal for being the #1 Point Guard coming out that year. I saw Evans play that year and was greatly impressed. He could fly down the court with the dribble and handled it like he had it attached by a string to his hand. He ended up going first to another D1 university, then to a junior college and never seemed to get settled. Had he just gone to ODU to begin with I believe that he would have had some continuity to his game and life, and perhaps had a much better outcome with the rest of his career. I hope that nothing like this happens to Mitchell Robinson.

I think it's safe to assume as Shammond Williams won't have a statue put up in his honor in BG. I'd be shocked if he ever gets another cbb job.

Update on the saga:
Robinson has apparently narrowed it down to Kansas and...New Orleans. (No, not the Pelicans)

He's also been liking and replying to tweets about him coming back to WKU. That would make this weird story even weirder. Would Stans even want him back? I personally don't want that unless he still sits a year just to teach him a lesson.

If anything has been learned about this kid during "As Mitchell turns" soap opera continues is I would not pay one second of attention to this guys social media accounts...He loves to play mind games with people....

Stansbury would not take him back if he came crawling back on his knees... I have moved on as most WKU fans have and I am sure his former teammates have moved on as well....Just be thankful we have Justin back...

You're an idiot if you think the guy that LICKED Que Johnson's and NoBomba's asses has all the sudden developed a requirement for crawling on your knees backbone.

He'd take him back. From the things ChalmetteOwl said on Scout it looks like they're pondering sitting out. So it may be a moot point.

Unless of course you a big baller like ChingChongChangChiliWang on Scout and the coaches are 'telling' you things.

TBH I have no idea if he'd even be eligible here. I have no idea how the NCAA would treat it. Right now we have ONE BIG and that's a guy that just quit football. Stans would have a cookout at his house if MR decided to come back.

I would have mixed emotions, he would have to make things right with his teammates for sure then the fans. He got some very bad advise from his godfather that led to his departure, its not every day you get a top 10 recruit and not letting come back could be seen as bad as not letting him leave. It's doubtful that it happens, but I trust our coach

Its not happening....Once again people reading too much into his social media accounts where he is all over the place...My guess just likes playing mind games and or being center of attention...
