That's a stunning figure from the PAC. I know USC and Stanford both bring down big money, but I can't imagine they made so much more than their league peers last year that they overcame the average losses for everyone else. The PACN is not working.

Also of interest, WVU has now rocketed up to 3rd in the Big 12...26th overall. OSU, KU, and TT follow.

T.C.U. will be doing well too. I don't guess it matters what Baylor pulled down.

I wouldn't be shocked if Baylor's numbers are down. Their donor base can't be happy right now.

Everyone has been focused on TV revenue. If the BTN divests and they payout 10 million a year plus 1 million that they deem to be profit sharing and they get a 5 million dollar bump for their new contract guess what? They tie us in Total Gross Revenue. That's how far we are ahead. And the word is this year our TV portion is going to get a 3 million dollar bump when the totals come out.

Say what you will, but that is a heckuva a lot of lure for a couple of B12 schools, or more.

And if my suspicion is correct and the Big 10 is divesting from the BTN then those 10 million dollar bumps will be gone in 4 years time. If so it is probably to help their cause in attracting the B12 brands because there would no longer be a buy in. Next year when the network valuations are released if theirs continues to decline double digits in value then I'll know they are indeed divesting.

RE: 2015-6 Total Revenue
The SEC is sitting pretty. The public median is Kentucky at $132M in revenue. The only two semi-realistic expansion options that currently bring home more than the SEC median is Texas $188M and Oklahoma $150M. So any additions without those two must sit below the current SEC average.

MSU is our lowest public earner at $94M. Here are the revenue earnings of current expansion candidates to some degree as well as some reference schools for scale:
$188M Texas
$150M Oklahoma
$113M FSU
$105M WVU
$95M UNC
$93M OK St
$90M KU
$83M VT
$82M Tx Tech
$80M NC St
$79M UConn
$78M ISU/KSU
$59M Cincinnati
$59M James Madison FCS
$46M Boise St

Assuming the adjustment for adding each school is adding $15M to current values if they were in the SEC today, the OU/OSU additions would push OU into the number two SEC spot just edging Alabama, while OSU would go from earning a million below MSU to tiring current 11th place Ole Miss. the only other option is WVU currently at $105M; adjusted to $120M would still place them right behind 10th place Ole Miss.

Question: would there be a buy in to the SECN or would the SEC just ask that new additions chip in their share on adjusted start up costs?

Since we don't own a percentage there is no buy in. They would have to get streaming ready if they aren't already (and I believe they are) and they would earn an equal share from the beginning.

Note: Texas with Texas Tech brings 270 million or an average of 135 million each. With the extra SEC base the average would 150 million each.
Oklahoma with Oklahoma State brings 243 million or an average of 121.5 million each. So for that pairing ESPN bringing them both up that 15 million you were speaking of puts them right at 136 million each with the extra SEC base. So for the 4 it is still doable. Not preferable, but doable.

So who's the first to crack $200M?

A&M is on a good pace to do so.

RE: 2015-6 Total Revenue
Interesting stats on stadium capacity and attendance in the Big 12

Capacity:

Texas: 100,119
Oklahoma: 86,112
Iowa State: 61,500
Texas Tech: 60,454
Oklahoma State: 60,218
West Virginia: 60,000
Kansas State: 53,000
Kansas: 50,071
Baylor: 45,140
TCU: 45,000

Surprising that ISU has the 3rd largest stadium in the league behind only UT and OU.

BYU: 63,470*

*Would have the 3rd highest capacity stadium in the Big 12.

Average attendance in 2016:

Texas: 97,881
Oklahoma: 86,857
Texas Tech: 58,250
West Virginia: 57,583
Oklahoma State: 53,814
Iowa State: 52,557
Kansas State: 51,919
Baylor: 45,838
TCU: 45,168
Kansas: 25,828

BYU: 58,569*

*Would be the 3rd highest average attendance in the Big 12.
