Are you inferring that ODU is #1 in donations?

Rice shouldn't be ranked 14th. They probably have more money then everyone in C-USA combined. They just don't have to report it.

I was thinking the same thing, although I'm not sure how many teams those schools field compared to others. At any rate you can't argue with results.

I guess its different ways to count "revenues"

Ticket sells goes up a fraction and donations down 4 million and rights are up by almost 3 million.

If you check past seasons you can tell there's some fuzzy math going on. In 6 years ARK ST increase "revenues" by 33.6 million. Now who believes that?

What is the $18,000.000.00 (Million) in the "Other Category".......? In years past that column showed $3+ Million. That is a lot of revenue from something I would think they would need to show a itemized explanation for.......? For a School that only brings in $1.5 million in ticket sales and $2.2 million in other contributions that is a HUGE BUDGET.

Ark St has there own way of counting money and it's different from everyone else. If you look at donations they went over $700,000 once in 10 years then it goes up to over 6 million then drops to a little over 2 million.

If I had to guess they are adding building funds into their revenues.

Look at the money they made off tickets then go look at the attendance numbers they claim. Use to be around 26k in attendance I haven't checked lately.

Now look at Western's ticket sales $2,119,884 with FB attendance almost 18k but that includes basketball and about 700k for that. Take off the 700k and Ark St is only making 200k more than Western on fb tickets with about 8,000 more (claimed) in attendance

RE: 2016 New CUSA Budgets - USA Today
The only thing that strikes me as odd about ODU's numbers is this.

If ODU is selling more tickets or similar amount of tickets at higher prices and also receiving more from fundraising it would be rational to expect that ODU would also be selling more stuff thus the licensing revenue would be higher than everyone else's in the league, but it is not. This appears to be a significant anomaly. Consider Hawaii with similar ticket sales and contribution revenues but licensing more than double ODU's. The whole range between 60 to 70 bears this out.

In fact, ODU's licensing revenue is similar to C-USA schools with much lower revenues in the other two categories. This includes numbers similar to MT and we are terrible at merchandise pushing and licensing agreements. So, for me (and I'm not bashing ODU in anyway) something doesn't add up there. Just my 2 cents.

Ive never been to Virginia, but how easy is it to find ODU merch outside the area? That could have an impact. UNT stuff has been easier to get over the last few years. We were not much higher in licensed sales but I sometimes find UNT stuff here outside Austin and im 5 hours from campus.

It's not easy. We have an entire thread on our boards dedicated to how much it sucks to not see ODU gear anywhere in the area compared to other VA schools
