Last years roster said Ryan Pippins was 200 pounds. This year it says he is at 250 pounds. Still 6 feet tall. Surely that's a typo

If that is correct, how did he survive?

We actually ended up with two scholarship seniors, thanks to the transfers.

No Wanjang Tut. Too bad. Didn't notice if any other signees didn't qualify, but he was the one I had been focused on.

I figure that is what saved Pippen.

I never got the sense, in talking with folks, that Ryan Pippins was in any trouble. The belief seems to be that he can be a contributor, and you really don't want to run off a LR kid if you can avoid it. Someone would have been odd man out if Tut was eligible- but my guess is they wouldn't have signed one the late signees (maybe second senior transfer from Ohio) if he was eligible.

I agree. Also in my opinion there was no way Ryan was only 200 pounds last year. My guess was 225. I doubt hes as big as 250 so maybe that's a typo. Either way, he's a unigue build for a point guard and as long as he gets the job done he could present some match up problems if they put a 175 pound guard on him.
