Not from a militia or standing army ..but if he armed citizen!

I'm up in Toronto with family vacation... first time without a weapon other than a pocket knife in....a few decades! Feels very weird and unsettled for certain.

Do you have smoke detectors in your home? A fire extinguisher? Do you wear your seat belt? If you answered yes to any of the above then you tell us is it tiring to be constantly scared.

The first two I have because I have to to make my property legal, yeah. The seat belts, I don't believe should be legally required but I would wear them anyway because driving is a legitimately dangerous daily activity. I don't consider walking down the street dangerous in my neighborhood because I'm not paranoid. In certain places I might, but something tells me SCD isn't in one of those places.

Any other apples you want to compare to oranges?

Apples to oranges? All are forms of protection.

My wife's cousin didn't feel the need to carry in her neighborhood either. That changed when she was mugged at knife point. A good friend of mine didn't feel the need to keep a firearm readily available in his home until he was the victim of a home invasion. I don't carry because I feel I'll always need a gun, I carry because if I need a gun and don't have one I will not have the chance to run get it.

Not scared of anything...particularly in Toronto with all its Homosexuals prancing around the streets.

Just an odd feeling ( like not having your watch on).

Nice head of Security lady held my SOG knife while SCD Jr & went up the CN Tower.

Educated the nice security girl at PNC park at the Pittsburgh game with the SOG but she had to allow me in while carrying it. She just warnened me to "not wave it around."

Got you covered dunn. Going to enjoy many Summer Shandy's tomorrow. Playing in a Red, White and Blue 4 man scramble in the morning. Then headed to a bar-b-que in the afternoon and finishing up by attending a fireworks display at night. Hope everyone has a great and Happy 4th. By the way, I will be using Uber for transportation tomorrow. Hope designated drivers or ubers are in full force tomorrow.

We had our big celebration Saturday night at my cousin's house. It was my aunt's birthday so we chilled at the pool at afternoon, grilled some steaks and my cousin's husband blew $500 of fireworks.

Probably just going to chill by the pool tomorrow and down a couple of these:
