It's time! As some of you may remember, the last time there was a QB competition, we previewed everyone (Brumbaugh, Ortiz, Mosley, and Cluley). This time is no different. We're starting with a 2-for-1 deal with Dean Rotger and Ted Hefter!

Ted Hefter was given the opening series in the spring game, then proceeded to act and show like he was the chosen one all day. Even though he came in under no pressure or expectations, not sure I'd underestimate his starter chances as "low" on the totem poll.

Who knows who will end up the QB this season. Hefter's performance this spring should inspire every player on the team. His performance was not limited to the lower levels of the depth chart. He had success against some starting defensive secondary.

WM is known for finding talent within its walkon players. Look at the career of recent walkon seniors Kuzjak and Ahola. Nice careers, starters and impact players.

The only reason Hefter could be a long shot is because he's labeled a walkon. WM fans should know from experience, the best player plays.

I hope each compete relentlessly for the position. The entire team will benefit.
