July 1st - Realignment Anniversaries
July 1st is an official big day in NCAA realignment. Over the past several years, we have seen an overhaul of the major conferences with new programs and additions, as well as the destruction of others. It's crazy to think about how much has changed within the past few years, and what may be occur in the future. Below are some of the big anniversaries of the past few years (mainly the 2010 - 2014 cycle).
Nebraska to the B1G - July 1st, 2011
Colorado and Utah to the PAC-12 - July 1st, 2011
Missouri and Texas A&M to the SEC - July 1st, 2012
TCU and West Virginia to the Big 12 - July 1st, 2012
Syracuse, Pittsburgh and Notre Dame to the ACC - July 1st, 2013
Temple, Memphis, Houston, SMU, UCF to the American - July 1st, 2013
Butler, Creighton and Xavier to the Big East - July 1st, 2013
Rutgers and Maryland to the B1G - July 1st, 2014
Louisville to the ACC - July 1st, 2014
ECU, Tulane and Tulsa to the American - July 1st, 2014
July 1st, in the upcoming years, will undoubtedly once again see other major programs changing conferences. There are more dominoes still to fall.
