Tulane Signing Day Event Set for February 2nd
Annual Party to Be Held at Wilson Center

NEW ORLEANS -- Head Coach Chris Scelfo and the Green Wave football staff will unveil their 2005 signing class on Wednesday, Feb. 2 at the Greenbacker’s Annual Signing Day Party from 5-7 p.m. in the James W. Wilson Center on Ben Weiner Drive. Scelfo will discuss the 2005 signing class and video highlights of the 2005 signees, as well as the 2004 highlight tape, will be on display. Admission is free.

The entire Tulane football coaching staff, as well as many other members of the athletics staff, will be on hand at the event. Concessions will be available and the Tulane Gift Shop will be open for fans to renew their football season tickets and to purchase Green Wave merchandise.

Scelfo's 2004 Tulane team entered the season with only 10 seniors and a new starting quarterback while starting a pair of true freshmen on the defensive line. After opening the year 1-4, Tulane claimed three upset victories - including wins over bowl-bound UAB and Navy teams and a road win at TCU - en route to a 5-6 mark. Off the field, Tulane football student-athletes posted an 81 percent graduation rate in the 2004 NCAA Graduation Rates Report to rank seventh nationally.

The Signing Day Party will also feature soccer Head Coach Betsy Anderson as she announces her 2005 signing classes. For additional information, please contact the Tulane Ticket Office at (504) 861-WAVE.
