Agreed. It would be one hell of a donut to overtake Krispy Kreme

Krispy Kreme donuts always seemed greasy to me at least as far as the glazed ones are concerned. I'm OK with the cream filled Krispy Kreme but they're still not great IMHO.

But, you know, football.

When are you going to get it through that thick skull....

your school does not matter.

Unless you are playing fb in the SBC you are like the little brother that tag along because the mother makes the older brother take you or he doesn't go.

The western part of the SBC needs to add the Texas schools so Texas St wont be alone.

As for FIU and FAU...we will keep them. At least they have warm weather in the winter and a warm ocean and a trip that is never boring.

BTW, each one of the Fl. schools also have a FBS conference championship. 7 out of the 12 current SBC schools can't say that and 4 CUSA schools. Including the school the ODU fan roots for.

The one thing Texas St does offer, a stop in Round Rock, (if you drive) for some world famous donuts.

Don't care how good they are I'm not driving 17 1/2 hrs to get doughnuts.
Besides, they can't be as good as Krispy Kreme's.

If the best thing you get from a TXST trip are some overrated donuts then you aren't doing it right. I mean they are better than Krispy Kreme but still.....

I liked our trip(s) to Texas St, other than the first one was cold, windy, with misty rain. But the trip was great.

If anyone thinks Krispy Kreme has the best donuts its only because you haven't tried many others. My son finds some of the best donuts on our (FB/BB) trips. We drive every where no matter how long of a drive it is to see Western play. Sometimes you need that sweet fix with a cup of coffee to get you through that last part of the drive. Round Rock donuts are not overrated. Maybe if someone ate them all the time..it could be.

And I was responding to both of you. I guess I should have been more clear. I felt the need to clarify to you that they are indeed better. Although I should say that I haven't had Krispy kreme in a long time because they all got put out of business by DR Donuts. And the part about not doing a trip right was to him. But if donuts make the trip for you then who am I to judge?

Not surprising KK went out of business down there. You folks think beef is BBQ.

Anything I put on any of my smokers is BBQ. Even did a leg of lamb two weeks ago.

Duck Donuts. Like Krispy Kreme, with the hot, made to order thing, only bigger and better. They're out of Duck, NC, on the Outer Banks. There are a couple of franchises in Raleigh and around NC and Virginia.

We probably would have seceded from the Confederacy over BBQ had it lasted long enough.

Beef is life. I do like cooking some pork ribs about once a month though.

Krispy Kreme only lasted 3 months in Lafy back in the mid 2000's .. Local chain shut them down

Pulled pork is my go to. But I can't deny brisket. That's good ****. BBQ should not be a dividing force, if used properly slow cooked meats could be one of the great forces of good in this world.

Pig farmers in the east became cattle ranchers in the west. Think about that the next time the BBQ argument comes up.

FWIW - There are still Krispy Kremes in Texas. New one just opened up down here. If you prefer a retail chain, run of the mill, donut over fresh homemade, mom and pop, fine but I'll take mom and pop any day of the week.

Like I said if you have a fresh one, that is go to a store where they make them there and get it fresh of the conveyer belt it's a whole 'nother ball game. And I'm not too in to real cakey donuts either. If you are then KK might not be your thing.

Honestly I prefer HEB donuts over RR, very doughy. But I'm not a big donut person, I'm still maintaining summer bod 2017.

Long's Bakery in the Stringtown area of Indianapolis. Hands down the best, sugar coma-inducing donuts America has to offer. You don't chew them...they simply dissolve in your mouth...unbelievably good.

You people are weird. Some of my best memories involve stopping at the light on Ponce and Argonne just as that hot doughnuts sign comes on and you smell that fresh doughnuts smell for blocks.
