The final number does not necessarily need to be all 65 P5 schools, but the number would be closer to 65 than 32. 60 is a good number. Really only NW, Vandy, Wake, Baylor and Wash St should be excluded.
I know you're talking about their athletic prowess but you and others have got to stop mentioning excluding schools like Duke, Vandy, and NW amongst others. Every D1 school in the country wants to be these schools. I would their inclusion is almost guaranteed as long as they feel they should forward with the proposed plan.
Athletics meansittle the scheme of things. I just wish people could understand that here. Let's include Boise State but not Duke. Yeah, not happening.
I agree with this. Northwestern, Vanderbilt, and Duke are like Stanford. Rice to a lesser extent due to a lack of on-field success outside of baseball is in that grouping too for FBS schools.

NW, Vandy, Duke, Stanford are as entrenched in the top level of the NCAA and within their respective conferences as it gets. None of them are going anywhere.

How much presence does Charter maintain in STL, though, since their (executive?) headquarters is in Connecticut?

Both HBO and Showtime have live sports, though I think limited to boxing, as well as more documentary/discussion type sports programs. But you could be exactly right.

Can the other left out 98 schools play college football when this happens? I don't like the NFL. I don't think I'm going to like a 2nd NFL if I don't like the 1st.

Yep, don't watch NFL, won't watch NFL Jr.
If this occurs...they can take all of their other sports with them. I have no interest in the NCAA propping up their Olympics and other sports at that point.
