Number making significant starts - 1

Those 3 star guys really make your team a shared championship contender.

2018 commits
3 star QB no FBS offers
2 star LB 12 FBS offers.

Who was the other team in the conf? Oh the highest rated talent team and where did ULM, NMSU, GaSt finish who were in the bottom four in talent rankings. Hmmm yes guy nobody ever said coaching, retention and development dont play a factor. In the case of Idaho schedule does as well. Exchange out ULM and TSXT with App and ArkSt and they have two more losses.

We actually did play Idaho. Beat them 37-19.

I know already been addressed....

RE: Way Too Early Recruiting Rankings
Wanted to post a quick update on Recruiting through October and see where everyone else was at.

Since the season has started, App has added 5 to commitment total to reach 24 at this point in time. Ratings are from 247. They are:
-WR Braden Collins- 3 star from KNOXVILLE, TN. with offers from CCU, Air Force, Army, UNCC, Indiana, MTU, Navy, Ohio, Tulane, Vany, UVA, WKU. Committed on 9/24/17
-DE Hansky Paillant- 2 star from HOLLYWOOD, FL. with offers from FIU, FAU, and USF. Committed on 9/25/17
-ILB Jay Person- 3 star from Bradley Central, TN. with offers from MissSt, Mizz, MTU, UTSA. Committed on 10/1017
-DE/OLB Harrison Taylor- UnRated from MCDONOUGH, GA. offers from CCU, GS, GSU, South, Troy, UNC, UNCC, CSU, Kent St, Marshall, Ohio, Rutgers, SMU, Cuse, Tulane, UCF, WKU.
-DT Jahlil Taylor- 3 star from CORDELE, GA. with offers from stAte, GS, GSU, South, Army, CMU, CSU, MTU, Tulane, UAB, WKU. Committed on 10/23

App now has a total of 10 3Star recruits and I'm sure the priority is to keep these guys committed as there's not many more ships left open. Late season success should make a difference with everyone's recruiting class.

RE: Way Too Early Recruiting Rankings
GS is in the tank for the second year and just lost our best recruit to Minnesota dang row the boat crap!, We need a coach named asap. For the teams that will be in the Belt next year we are on pace to finish last.

Right now Troy is on pace to finish first, rankings are not that meaningful as quantity is playing a bigger factor, we will all sign about 25 in the end App is first only due to having a full class already signed with a 79.20 recruit average will likely fall to the low 90's to high 80's where the top of the Sun Belt usually is while Troy with an 80.41 avg which is a three star avg and is awesome and rare for a Belt team to do can shoot up to the 70's is they maintain and sign a full class.

However, Troy is somewhat underperforming recruiting wise.. we should be doing better considering the recent achievements (Top25 appearance, LSU win + national exposure, Bowl win, rising young head coach etc) + the new endzone building which is currently under construction... still some more months to go though...

Only in quantity not quality, if your are headed to the seventies you will be above some P5 teams you cant realistically ask for too much more unless your are doing what Boise did over a sustained period of time. They also kept Peterson way longer than expected. You cant beat LSU then follow it us with a loss to USA and think recruits dont see both games. Run through the conference win three out four OOC games for a few years, make the access game then hitting the low 60's or high 50's becomes realistic. That is where PJ Fleck HAD WMU headed then he took off and took a lot of the recruits with him.

The very guy whom earlier in this very thread I was wondering how he wasn't rated as a three-star? Ya don't say...

As always some of Apps lowest rated prospects have more offers than highly rated ones. That's why I pay little to no attention to these rating systems.

The reported offers are less reliable than the ratings.... ratings are based on tangible numbers and someone actual watching film. Offers are rarely confirmed or can be by the sites.

I know the guy who runs App's Scout site really well. He writes articles on each prospect that commits and confirms all their offers. He's discovered numerous not listed and debunked some that are. All in all those listed are pretty darn accurate.
