No, it wasn't. Southern miss and la tech have screwed themseleves out of bids by not scheduling in recent years, and 2014-2015 odu screwed themselves by losing to UTSS and bowing out in the first round of the tournament. It requires a lot to get a bid now, but it's far from impossible.

Well when was it. And its impossible now its a pipe dream but dream on. Most expect this league to improve im basketball when you have schools who last ncaa tourney appearance was in the 90s.

Didn't USM and Memphis make it in 2012?

I think youre right i couldnt remember was truely asking. That would still be the 2.0 version of cusa right?

Yes. we also had several close calls in very recent years. Arguing that RPI doesn't matter is simply foolish. Just because we've been bad in recent years doesn't mean things can't change.

If wku is a very good team this year and us, UTEP, odu, la tech, mtsu, and Charlotte can at least be solid the conference is significantly better. We will still have issues with the f_u's and Texas schools dragging ass, but if the top can improve that will give us a chance to get an at large in the conference.

It doesn't if it only matters for seeding. When the way you should try to make it is by winning your conference tourney, whats the highest seed the recent conference usa tourney had along with the 2012 and 2011 bubble teams.

Again youre only pointing out 7 of 14 teams and two didnt nothing out of conference last year. And some of the seven will lose to 8-14 seed teams. Heck FIU may have the overall win record against UAB
