I counted 6 + Independence possibility.

So CFN thinks that Marshall and ODU will each finish 5-7 with no bowl prospects or 6-6 and get left in the cold anyway.

LIke the match up vs. Toldeo but hopefully will be in Florida and not the Bahamas, with basketball team going there late Nov, we would have zero people there again for football....

I think the second. Last year there were 5 win teams that made bowls so even without enough guaranteed bowls spots I'd think the chances of being left out is still pretty small with the sheer number of bowls these days.

Did one of the bowls fold this year? I seem to remember reading something of the sort.

I don't see WKU leaving the mainland, title or not.

The only way UTSA gets HOD is if they win the west, or if Tech does and gets the I-Bowl. Us going to New Mexico only happens if we don't win the west, and considering USM went to NOLA last year we'd probably go instead, sending them elsewhere.

Makes you wonder who they think will win it all. I think an Eastern Champ would pick HOD against B12 over a FL Bowl vs the AAC. A Western Champ certainly would.

There are a lot of Western FB fans that don't travel for basketball. I would say the overlap is less than 50. The only time our traveling basketball fans go over 50 (that's with parents/family) is games played @FAU/FIU. Other than a 2 hour or less drive.

I know of two (or three) people that will be there and not at the basketball tourney. Had plans to make the basketball tourney also till they moved the FIU game to Friday. So I picked FB.

One thing of note is that now BYU doesn't have a bowl tie in. Assuming they're eligible, any at-large spots there might be would probably include them. The Frisco Bowl could very well be their landing spot. Hopefully any C-USA eligible teams will find a landing spot.

FAU and UTSA before ODU? bwahahahahahaha

I'll piss on a spark plug if we get to 6-6 this season....bit if we do, I don't see us being left out...no proof, just my opinion

We have no QB. If none of our guys are worth a damn (and I don't think this will be the case) we are going to lose a lot more games this year.

It'll be interesting to see how eager the FL bowls are to have FIU/FAU if they get eligible. Their attendance isn't great but the Boca Bowl is in FAU's home stadium. You'd have to assume that Western Bowls would prefer western schools. If UTSA is eligible they'll be desirable to those bowls. They seem to have a good fanbase.

I don't think the author is saying we wouldn't be bowl eligible. I think he was saying we might get left out.

FAU was my sleeper pick last fall and they did, sleep through the season. Look for UTSA to be the surprise team. With that being said, I expect ODU in a bowl before FAU no doubt. I would not be too worried if I were a Monarch's fan.

Tech vs Boise in the Las Vegas, it could happen! I think UTSA will be bowling dont know about FAU
