I think that if Henderson didn't have to share so much, he would put up 1,500 yards. Regardless of how good everyone is, I would be playing Henderson more than everyone else. With our passing game being so lethal, Henderson is a homerun waiting to happen every time he touches the ball.

Henderson is going to benefit from improved line play more than any of our other backs. He just needs a tiny opening for a split second and he is gone...and I don't think I saw anyone catch him even once last year.

Agreed. Henderson should be our lead back. The guy is insanely good

DD is a tougher back who can find a way to get yards that may not be there, especially near the end zone. (though he becomes a dancer a little too much.) Taylor, to me, seems to break though the line better than DH or DD and explode into the open.

They all deserve plenty of touches.

Aaron Resnick @aaronmresnick
In 2016, these were the most effective freshman running backs on a per carry basis after contact with a defender.

Gulfcoastgal with the chart. Thanks.

Here's another good one...and FWIW, these three schools need to figure out a way to play each other every year.

Henderson is explosive...But it turns into the down and distance question and style of play questions

Do you want to go with a power back who will get you 3-5 yards on most plays and build sustainable drives or go with the guy who may get stopped for 0 more often but could break for 50 and a TD.

This guy gets my vote as #1....most explosive we've had since D.

It's exciting every time he gets the ball because you feel that he can hit it out of the park, and once he gets into the open field he doesn't get caught. With improved offensive line play he will be unstoppable.

Hopefully CMN is working on schemes to get Henderson in the open field... if he's in open field look out... nobody but nobody is going to catch up with him unless they have the angle...

Oglesby didn't work out, but for a while he was a really nice weapon to have, just because he was really fast and he stretched out the defense. We are signing a lot of similar wide receivers.

We might not get amazing production out of them right away, but we will be able to rotate them in, send them deep on most plays and the defense is going to have to respect their speed.

Another plus is that Mayhue, Coxie, Jones and Dykes are all over 6' and should be able to do a great job of blocking.

Yes it was. Honestly I forgot about Sam Craft. Riley Ferguson has so many weapons. I expect him to set records that won't be broken for along time.

I have trouble seeing Craft starting at slot. I may be wrong, but I think we'll have more explosive (if not more experienced) options there.

That's how far we have come since Craft arrived.

I guess the main remaining variable to a very potent offense is improvement of the offensive line.

Single largest variable. O-Line play dictates time in the pocket to through as well as running lanes. A decent improvement here, and we could be lethal.
