We have given an in-state rival with abundant resources yet another advantage in the recruiting wars within the fertile Memphis area. The game is a reminder of our descent from relevancy and despair.
Wish they would have gotten Austin Nicholls and the Lawsons from this fertile Memphis area.
Tennessee classes since 2015 are all ranked about the same as Tubby's 2017 class.
I don't know what you all are thinking, but it's not based in logic. *

UT-K wishes to pounce on Tubby's weakness and barge into Memphis. They are playing us for a reason and it is not connected to charity. Why do you think they want to start the series?

You present a false dichotomy. There are a number of schools Tiger fans would enjoy seeing without the disadvantages to the program incurred by playing UT-K.
name the schools that tiger fans would enjoy seeing
last season we played Mississippi and South Carolina. This season we're playing Alabama and LSU. I'd love to see us play Mizzou and Miss State.

Why do you think someone who's recruited at the same level as Tubby for the past 3 years is going to suddenly get it together? Because they play us in one game home game every other year?

^^THIS^^....but replace weakness with dereliction of duty....or lack of honor by refusing to actually work for a living......by taking his first year off.....by refusing to recruit ( players saying that they hardly ever hear from him or any coaches from MEMPHIS ....some say they have NEVER heard from them ).... I guess that you would have to get off the golf course to actually work. Letting the COMMUNISTS and PIGGYS into our backyard ....oh wait they have COACHES that actually recruit 4 and 5 stars.....or recruit period.

I am not the AD or Tubby, but before even entertaining UT-K they should first prove they have done everything possible to land a home and home with G-5 schools like Nova, Marquette, Butler, VCU, Xavier, and P-5 schools like Ohio State, Fl St, South Carolina, etc. All it takes is one of them to replace UT-K.

I'm fully in favor of playing Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas. Tubby isn't Calipari and right now we need any help we can get in putting butts in the seats and money in the sports departments account - not mention a little excitement around the program.

None of the schools you mentioned would draw any interest from our fans. We played a ranked Souuth Carolina team last year and nobody cared.

At this point we can't turn down any games that might have 10,000 in actual attendance.

When their storied program play the game they backed out of when Danny, Two and the boys were here we should talk about a basketball for football contract.
Until then; F*** Them!
