Yup, but it's all a matter of perspective.
I guess people living in the rockies might call Boone flat using your perspective.

The highest peak in Arkansas is just over 2,700 feet and is an hour west of Arkansas Tech's campus which is about 350 feet. I now live in a house at 7,000 feet just across I-25 from USAFA. Yeah, so no complaining about your little hills back east. 04-cheers

On a business trip to Salt Lake I stopped to visit a good friend who was the RB coach at AF. Looking at Pikes Peak in the background we got to talking how the altitude of Boone is just under half that of Colorado Springs. He tells me this story about a game they were playing at New Mexico. One of the OL was complaining he couldn't catch his breath. My friend asked what the problem was and the kid said, "It must be the altitude coach." Tim replied "Hey idiot, this place is 800 feet lower than Colorado Springs." 03-lmfao

If you are talking about mount magazine, I have been up there. seems pretty tall and 10-15 degrees cooler when you get up there.

Well hills and elevation aren't the same thing. Denver is pretty flat but has an elevation over 5,000 ft. There are places in Arkansas much hillier than Denver, but have a lower elevation.

Pretty much. If you start driving west, you are essentially gradually driving uphill the entire way as you approach the Rockies.

Yes, Mount Magazine. Surprisingly to me, I never made it up there even though I was in Russellville for 18 years. But, I've been to the top of Pike's Peak. You are right GoBigRed26, there are different types of hills everywhere. Denver seems flat but it has some small hills since it varies by 560 feet across the town. I suppose the Himalayas would call the Rockies little hills.

We've officially derailed this thread again, so I'll join in. Kidd Brewer Stadium is at 3,333 feet. I live around 4000 feet around 18 minutes from campus and the peak of Grandfather mountain (just shy of 6,000 feet) is about 13 minutes or 8ish miles from me. We have an average HIGH temp of 77 in July/August. After a few years in the Middle East, and my time in the deepish south while stateside, that's a major factor in why we live here. As far as Sun Belt folks who might have experienced the area's mountains, ask Georgia Southern or Georgia State. Maybe this fall will bring some more Boone weather for the Sun Belt. Georgia State is the only team that has experienced the "is this really North Carolina?" factor since we've joined the FBS ranks. My hills are bigger than yours.

My brother has very nice homes in Arkansas and Florida. Both area's are hot and humid and is the reason he is now building on top of Banner Elk. I'm claiming the guest house and know I will really enjoy the summer months. May also use to see the Neer's play from time to time.

When I was a trumpet player in college we passed through the mountains on the way to Amhurst. Loved the mountain atmosphere. I need a vacation.
