Thought this looked kinda cool, I would much rather this than mirror the other endzone. I dont see it happening though. I think the height of the two sides differs by about 20 feet. Also the lights would not be necessary and I dont think it will look as good if you take them away. Whatever they decide to do, I hope they get as many seats as possible even if it bring up the caost. This will probably be the last expansion for Williams brice(atleast I hope it is, I hope we dont ever try to make some kinda sky upper deck like UGA).

On a related topic(the stadium) NBC has ranked the top ten stadiums, USC isnt in the, they also broke down the conferences, we are in there by default 03-wink , They ranked seetting, structure, history and fans. They have us at #1 for setting and fans. The only other SEC stadium I have been to is Alabama's in Tuscaloosa. I think there stadium setting far surpasses ours. here is the link for anyone curious.click me
Where did W-B get its Name?
South Carolina: Williams-Brice Stadium
Named for: Martha Williams Brice and Thomas H. Brice
What'd they do: During the early 1970s, then Carolina Stadium was undergoing an extensive renovation. The facelift was made possible, in large part, by a $2.75 million gift from the estate of Mrs. Brice. Her husband Thomas was a letterman on the Gamecock football team in the early 1920s. The name was officially changed before the season opener in 1972.
Here is a timeline of Williams Brice. There are a bunch of great pics here.

Anyone have a picture of any preliminary drawings for the North end zone?
Chris Masarro said there are preliminary plans to work on the stadium's north end zone across from the State Fairgrounds parking lots. He said about 8,000 seats could fit over the school's current football building. Source

I can't wait for the major renovation to begin. I have heard they from UNreliable souces(forums) that they want to do something like what FSU has done. Williams-Brice with that type of exterior and an additional 10-20,000 seats would be awesome. Also they are suppose to be improving restrooms, etc underneath the stadium. I wish they would give us some more info on any plans they have in the works. It would probably help with the funding. If you get people excited about it they might be willing to donate.
