Granted there's no mention of his Huskie tenure, but Tribune did name Willy Roy No. 30 in its list of The 40 Greatest Coaches in Chicago Sports History (printed last Sunday) for all of his success guiding the Chicago Sting which had a ticker-tape parade.
NIU won the Illinois Governor's Cup and a couple conference titles leading to being inducted into the Huskie Athletics Hall of Fame along with his three sons.
