Likely what we will also hear from Comey.

Finish what Dan Coats said.

"I have never felt pressured to intervene in the Russia investigation in any way,"

Also what Rogers said.

"I am not going to discuss the specifics of interactions that I may or may have not had with the President," Rogers said, adding he has never felt pressured to do anything unethical. "I do not recall feeling pressured to do so."

That's interesting...I didn't hear about the other comments...but why would he say what I quoted and then the other...they don't seem to jive.

Apologies...I'll look for the whole thing in context.

Here is the link. I heard the testimony live but here is the information in writing.

Okay, thanks. Still odd that he would make both statements in the same hearing. They don't seem to equate.

I'll have to look for the video of that portion of his testimony this afternoon.

Totally agree...as long as he can without divulging classified information or impacting ongoing investigations.

That shouldn't be too hard

Congress: Did Mr Trump try and obstruct your investigations

Comey answers either yes or no.

really simple.

Perhaps...I still say it depends on whether him answering definitively will effect any ongoing investigations.

If he is asked point blank if Trump obstructed any investigations. How is yes or no going to impact any ongoing investigations?

A story today in WaPo says that Coats told associates that trump asked him to intervene with Comey on the FBI Russia probe.

Senator McCain asked him point blank if this was true and Coats did not affirm it...or more importantly...deny it.

What harm would it have done to just deny the reporting if it was 100% false?

Interesting.

He did seem to indicate that he would provide the information in a closed door session.

That being said, his comments while not denying the report, that regardless of the information being in the post that it was still classified was pretty telling to me that the WaPo story is pretty accurate.

The JFK assassination stories are pretty accurate too.

What is scary about this and all administrations is how much "classified" information they cannot tell the American public.

I understand somethings need to be kept secret but it seems everything is classified now days.

Which is why you should never trust the government no matter who's running it. The government's greatest power lies within it's secrets. 05-stirthepot

If there is a tape of conversations, I hope they are released via twitter 1 minute after Comey commits perjury so that the US Marshals can wait for him at the door.

This is going to be a shitstorm...a fired employee whining at an exit interview.

I hope someone asks about his brother's conflicts with lobbyists and foreign nationals.

Comey's written statement kinda clears everything up at least for me

Trump wanted the word out publically and officially that he was not under investigation. Comey refused to put that word out because it would create a "duty to correct" should Trump become under investigation. Trump likely did the same with other security/intelligence agency heads in his effort to try to get the public word out that he was not under investigation because the media was hinting/reporting that he was under investigation.

And yet Comey still thinks he did the right thing in making everything public with Hillary.

Why is it sick? DC residents know it's a game, so why not treat it like one?

Comey Says He Did Tell Trump He Wasn’t Under Investigation, Trump Didn’t Try To Interfere In Russia Investigation…

Here is a link to the full prepared remarks.

Here’s the two most interesting parts so far, and no, wouldn’t be obstruction even if true.

He also told Trump he wasn’t under investigation, as Trump said.
