UNM's AD is retiring at the end of the month. As much as I like UNM in chaos, they seem to screw NMSU at the same time. Out AD has been mentioned to replace UNM's AD.

This should make all WAC members happy. Mountain West officials and fans look down their noses on anything that had to do with the WAC. I cheered like crazy for GCU when they spanked SDSU and UNM. The only problem with Grand Canyon fans is they win these games so then they feel like they have "outgrown" the Wac, even though the major olympic sport, basketball has not won one regular season championship.

I don't think we have out grown the WAC, but I honestly don't know if we can be as successful as we want to be if we remain in the WAC. I think we need a couple of undefeated conference regular seasons and consecutive tourney appearances before we can legitimately say that we have out grown the WAC.
