The only guys of note we lose this year are Peacock (relief pitcher) and Bell (pitcher). Everyone on offense should be back, barring any losses to the draft. I expect the SBC will be improved next year as well and hopefully we'll get more teams in.

We are an really young team. If good pitching comes in we'll be ok next year. I'm guessing Arguelles, who will be a sophomore, will be either a Friday or Saturday night starter. I'm not sure if anyone else gets any looks, but all indications are Barnes will be drafted. So we'd be down Barnes, Bell, Peacock, and Joey Jones of note.

I hate losing but we had a top 10 national scoring offense and it lifted our pitching at times this year and the potential for next year looks great.

Teams vs P5
1. Davidson defeats North Carolina to advance to the Supers. WTG Wildcats.
2 Bethune-Cookman just beat Florida to force another game tomorrow. Again, go Wildcats.
3. Missouri State will advance with another win but are currently trailing Arkansas 4-0. Go Bears.
4. Sam Houston on top of TT in the 9th. This would force another game. Go Bearkats.
5. USM in the driver's seat against MSU with 2 changes to eliminate the Dawgs tomorrow, and they will. Go Eagles.

Go Wildcats!

Davidson had not won a NCAA baseball game prior to this year in 113 years of baseball

Davidson finished SIXTH in the Atlantic 10, which is not a good baseball conference

Davidson supports its team with a grand total of 3.5 scholarship equivalents, allocated in various ways across the team....at a school that chargers 67 grand a year.

03-lmfao maybe, maybe not .. . I'm sure that you're aware that this is their 3rd consecutive Super .. . . To me, that speaks more to having a good program.

Though I'll readily admit, sometimes it's better to be lucky than good .. . .

Will be interesting to see if lightening strikes twice for David (son) Vs another Goliath.

I'm not going to speak for prior years, but their regional seemed to have several teams that were given a seed higher than they should have been. Now they get a 4 seed.

. . . and I'm not going to say that these current Aggies are better than the 2016 or 2015 versions, they're probably not. Just saying that 3 consecutive Supers can probably be attributed to more than "luck."

As to them drawing a 4, perhaps that's where luck comes into play for Aggie . . .

Davidson pulled the "upset" of The Tournament (to date). Do they have enough in the tank to do it again? Everyone loves the underdog, don't they?

I will say that Aggie would be smart not to underestimate that 4. . . . .

I love reading Hogville. Those Wal Mart T-Shirt trash fans give me such a chuckle.

So there's chatter on Twitter to split DI into teams with/without 11.7 scholarships; only because of the Davidson win. They only have 3 baseball schollies.

What a bunch of sore losers. (even DI Baseball is in on the convo)

Not because A&M got beat but I agree with that. It's why I get of so tired of FCS football. If you are going to be in a certain division you should have to give an x amount of scholarships. At least be on the same level in that respect.

So a team with less resources beats a team with way more and we should now exclude them because of it? That's why we have the P5/G5 split in football. Sorry, they just need to suck it up and deal with it.

They also talk about it in football every year when a G5 takes down a P5. The only purpose it serves is to further divide the haves and have nots.
