Wait till DavidSt sees UNI to the Big 12 for wrestling.

MVC with the addition of Valpo, doubt this affects soccer too much.

Valpo replaces SIUE in Men's Soccer (Wichita State didn't have it) in the MVC. Fewer associates, same numbers.

SIUE replaces Buffalo in Men's Soccer, giving the MAC 6 schools. The move of wrestling from SoCon to MAC possibly signals a shift from southern focus to Midwest. May signal some interest in leaving OVC.

Southern Illinois Edwardsville is basically the same situation, a 7th school as an affiliate, and the sponsoring conferences needs it as one of their three men's team sports.

SIU-Edwardsville could well be a good add, if available ... few soccer programs would mind having regular trips to the St. Louis area.

At least you'd have tUNA for other sports now.
FBS scheduling is getting easier by the year, although you wouldn't get many FBS transfers like you do now.

The MAC is a power wrestling conference too with Missouri regularly in the Top 10.

There are reports that UNI will join the big12 as a wrestling affiliate, so SIUE would be needed by the MAC in that sport too. Everybody is happy!

Well UNI is expensive on travel hours from a major airport hub.

Quality wise this is like losing Creighton or Wichita in basketball for us but not both since we still have Missouri.

The MAC move can boost SIUE wrestling quite a bit as it is now shares conference membership with Mizzou. Didn't think Iowa St would allow UNI, but iSU doesn't seem to be a petty institution. ISU vs UNI will bring in overflow crowds too.
