The "Alabama University at Birmingham"???? At least they didn't use the hyphen name.

Deneen joined the evil empire in Tuscaloosa, during one of Grant's final yrs.

Lou is still at UA. Great coach, I hated to see him go.

Look for a job or hobby axed at Ohio St. Hot name Tom Crean.

He's had a lot of health problems though. I'm sure he will take a year off at this point. Plus, that's a huge step down.

It's crazy that crean doesn't have a job yet.

Yeah i thought Crean found work somewhere too. Could be the perfect match for him. Matta might never coach again if his back is as bad as reported.

Is Ohio State ready to hire the brother in law of the Michigan FBHC as its BBHC? Crean will make some school a good BBHC, but The Ohio State program may not be ready to hire him.

Short list

Crean
Greg Marshall
Billy Donovan
Brad Stevens

I would take Crean in a heartbeat thr other three are in good situations. Well Billy D is for atleast two more years.

It's hard to believe that relationship would have any impact on the hiring process.

Crean makes the most sense. I'd be shocked if Stevens or Donovan left right now. I think Marshall may eventually leave, but right now to kind of pick up the pieces at OSU makes little sense.

I would be surprised if they havent had this in mind while sharpening the axe.

No, but it brings football into the thread. He thinks all threads should eventually be about football or Bama

The only coaches that leave the NBA for college are coaches who are failing at the NBA. Stevens and Donovan have been very successful and would be a fool to leave jobs where you don't deal with grades. Recruiting violations, shoe companies, shady boosters and parents
