CSU or Wyoming: who should be my "new" 2nd favorite team?
Trouble is, neither CSU, USU, AF, WYO, or UNM will win the division, it will go to Boise.

Btw, the Mountain division of the MWC had a higher rating last year than the SEC East.

There is nothing to keep you from going to either campus. It just depend on who they are playing. Tickets can't be expensive for either team.

I was half-kidding about the September snowstorm. ALTHOUGH!

A spot on I-80 between Laramie and Cheyenne got 32 inches of snow ---- just the other day, on May 18!

Weather is wild up there, no doubt.

I probably should scout out both locales. Maybe this will be the schedule:

Week 0: See Colorado State hosting Oregon State. (limited college football schedule this week)

Week 3: See Wyoming hosting Oregon. (PSU plays Georgia State that day, I can probably miss watching that on TV)

Week 4: Travel to Iowa, see Penn State play Iowa. (only traditional B1G team where I have yet to see a game)

There is a reason why Wyoming has the lowest population of all 50 states.

Last I checked Boise hasn't made the championship game the last 2 years. SDSU defeated Air Force and Wyoming to win the MW.

Boise may be the favorite this year but don't be surprised if Wyoming wins the Mountain again, or even CSU might sneak in as they are getting better.

You moved to the Colorado, we get snow in May just like Wyoming. Even on the Front Range. Come up to the mountains, not the far western suburbs of Summit County, the real mountains west of the divide. We are still in early spring. Our weather up here is what helps to keep the population down. They move in thinking it is paradise, they move out with their tail between their legs. Unfortunately for us the Front Range's population explosion is killing the rest of the state. Summer weekends are a mess.

You live in Colorado now, cheer for CSU. Transplants who want to cheer for a local school should choose a local school. The only people I've ever met in Colorado who cheer for Wyoming are Wyoming grads.

Wyoming and Air Force both have wrestling...if you like that. Air Force has Baseball and all sports. If I were you I'd pick Colorado St probably. The new stadium, CSU always has a tough schedule...they have those great green uniforms that I love. They have a decent basketball team with former Iowa St (and then Southern Miss) Coach Larry Eustachy...it's cool you have 4 FBS teams in the vicinity and 6 D-1 Basketball teams. The MWC 3, CU, Denver, Northern Colorado.

Wyoming. If for nothing else than their logo which is one of the most iconic in college sports. They do a great job of branding. And there is something to be said for the home field advantage of being over 7,000 ft in elevation.

Follow the Rams -- hells yes! Coach Bobo was OC at Georgia forever and a day, and he's been let loose here at State. The offense is a lot of fun,... and the defense is a work in progress. As many others have stated, the new on-campus stadium is gonna be de-luxe.

Can't go wrong cheering for the Zoomies or Pokes. I cheer for AF 51 weeks of the year, and Wyo's resurgence is a good thing. The CSU-Wyo rivalry (Border War) is the longest-running interstate rivalry in the west, and the game's trophy (The Boot) has a great history.

Welcome to our square state!

Go with the Buffs, the only real team in Colorado, the Rams are over rated every year.

This. But if you have to adopt another local team, join RamNation. I'm a Bearcat too, but always rooted for the Rams during my time in Colorado (especially when it was CSU v. CU).

Go to the rival game at each school. You will see the best and the worst they have to offer.

Agree, the elevation is pretty awesome. I'd go with Wyoming; Bohl is going to do good things there.
