I've been in R1 a few times, pretty much just a lot for anyone buying single game tickets and is a Duke Club donor. Typically there are quite a few students with their families in there, kinda quiet in the morning but it ramps up getting close to game time.

What's the atmosphere like up there on game days? Never been over to that side of 81 to check out the scene. I should probably go walk around over there one time this year.

The last couple years Upper Convo has had awesome turnouts, especially on those nice weather days. I took a stroll through there right before the "Gameday" game a couple years ago and it was complete mayhem--straight out of a movie scene.

That is the biggest party on campus on game day, many don't leave that lot and come down to the game. Especially homecoming, I think quite a few don't even have a ticket to the game. The only requirement seems to be age 18 - 25.

I stopped reading after "a nice set of hooters". To me, that comment won the interwebs and effectively shut this thread down.
