Football, basketball and track with a nod to our club sports of rugby and girls softball.

Baseball, women's soccer, and then probably softball even though there were some other women's teams that ranked higher in the Bubas. It seems like women's sports at USA are outpacing the men over the last few years, especially the ones that get less coverage.

Top three:
1. USA 21 - MSU 20. Final.
2. USA 42 - SDSU 24. Final.
3. 9th inning of the SBC Championship. Home run Jags! Home run Jags!

Not a SBC sport but Women's Rifle won a SoCon title.

I would say # 1 would be women's soccer . First time hosting the first round of the NCAA's and thumping LSU to advance for the first time to the 2nd round. (also shutout defending national champs and #1 in the nation at the time Florida State at our place).

#2 would have to be baseball.

#3 football. Not by record, but for a few milestones we finally achieved as a program.

I'd guess we'd have to go with men's tennis and golf since we won those tourneys. For a third...men's basketball maybe? We at least ended up the #2 seed (even though there was clearly UTA and then a bunch of us that weren't UTA), but we had a really disappointing tournament onward.

RE: Another sports year in the books for the Sun Belt
A lot to pick from at UTA, which is nice.

1) Men's basketball regular season and run to the NIT quarterfinals. We proved we could pack the arena for big games, which will be handy for future events.

2) Our men's thinclads won the triple crown for the second time in three or four years.

3) Women's basketball finished second, though it was clearly Troy and Little Rock as the best teams. Received an at-large berth into the NIT.

4) Softball continued showing improvement, moving into the top half of the SBC standings. Were it not for a turn dropped at App, a team that won two conference games, but none against anyone else, it could have been better. Nice progress for a program that was rebuilding at the time it entered one of the toughest conferences in the nation.

5) Baseball - I contend it was a fluke, but 20 wins in conference is nice. Too much of an inconsistent year outside of the beginning and middle of conference play for me to rank them higher.

That would be mine too. Hopefully we can substitute another higher profile win or two for number 3.

We were so bad at football I don't think anything could make up for it... Maybe an NCAA win but that didn't happen.

Number 1 would probably be coming into our first baseball season of conference play in the sun belt and taking away the conference championship in our inaugural year.

Coincidentally, my least favorite memory from the year is laying an egg in the conference tournament.

Well for me it was the 3 biggest disappointments.

1. Baseball. Blew 6-7 games with a lead after the 6th. Choked in the Belt Tourney.

2. Basketball. Marlin era needs to end.

3. Football. Hudspeth era will end with anything less that 7-5.

Football and Volleyball are always going to be at the top for us. Questions from there which sport can be 3rd best consistently. Women's basketball did it for a while, but flamed out. Track probably should be, but struggles in the conference tournament. I'd say Men's Golf is probably the next sport with a chance to be consistently good after a second straight top 4 league Finish, and top 100 ranking.

I think Men's basketball can get there if things fall the right way.
