Congratulations, Florida! Your entire athletics department is a pleasure to watch, well, except when they're sending my Card home.

Florida now joins Cal, Michigan, Ohio State, Stanford and UCLA as the only schools with national championships in football, basketball and baseball. The Gators are the only school to win championships in all three sports within the last 50 years.

RE: 2017 NCAA Baseball Tournament Thread
Florida escaped a 1st and 3rd, nobody out jam in the 7th and 8th innings while clinging onto a 2-1 lead, but the play of the game was in the 7th. LSU's Michael Papierski grounded into a 4-6-3 double play and Josh Smith crossed home plate as the tying run. Umpires ruled that the LSU runner on 1st, his slide interfered with Florida's shortstop Dalton Guthrie at second base. Per NCAA rules, a runner cannot advance on an interference play, and Smith was sent back to 3rd base. Next batter flied out to center and LSU came up empty.
Gators' starter Tyler Dyson pitched six innings allowing one run on three hits, two walks and two strikeouts. Deacon Liput went 2-5 with three RBI. For the LSU Tigers, Jared Poche' went 5.2 innings allowing two unearned runs on seven hits. UF ace Alex Faedo was named Most Outstanding Player of the Tournament.
Florida ends the year 52-19 and the national champions. LSU ends the year 52-20 as the national runner-ups.

Congratulations to Florida. Gee, I wish my Frogs hadn't had to play against Faedo twice.
