Disheartening loss to be honest. I can't think of a more difficult one as a Towson fan and alum for 27 years. Ohio State got the job done in the 2nd half and our offense just couldn't execute. They took away Lynch and Woodall getting injured was devastating. Next season will be tough with 7 seniors gone on offense and Tyler Mayes and Jack Adams gone on D along with Matt Hoy. Also thought Hoy needed to come up with 2 or 3 more big saves (other than the last one) and we win the game. Harryman tried but wasn't ready for the big stage. I think Nads may have overplayed Woodall and should have played Harryman more earlier.

I hear that Shane Brennan is the next strong Towson GK. He's redshirting this season. Will really miss Drenner. The Loyola transfer Giufreda will be back from injury along with r-freshman Matt Sovero. Drew Laundry back as well but need more help from another transfer or two though I know they like the guys that sit out this season.

The fact that we were up 8-3 in the 3rd quarter and seemingly in control of this game makes the loss even more heartbreaking. I made mention at half to a couple of people that we could have capitalized on a bunch of other opportunities and possibly had 11-12 goals in that first half. Hit at least 2 pipes that I remember and their goalie made some early saves to keep them in it. That turned out to be the difference as we couldn't get a momentum-stopping save from Hoy in that 3rd-4th quarter run the Suckeyes went on. But even through all that, we had the ball down 1 with 36 seconds left....have to at least get a shot off. Can't turn the ball over and not even get a semi-decent look. Kinda had the same feel as the first game against OSU -- in it for the first 3 quarters and then wilt in the 4th. I wouldn't say we wilted but not having Woodall out there to steal a faceoff and get us some possession was a pretty big deal.

Awesome season nonetheless...but it definitely felt like we should be there on Monday.

Seider did have a shot but it went wide. Young should have taken the last shot, not forced it to Konen, who probably would have hit his 3rd pipe of the game.

First game against Ohio State played in 20 degree weather was a horrible effort by the offense. Today, the offense seemingly did enough. It was the defense and goaltending that couldn't hold on. That and Woodall getting hurt. You can't lose your top face-off guy, who was winning over 60% this year. That turned the game around.

Good try guys. Losing your faceoff guy hurt big time as he was doing really well and that may be one of the most important positions in any sport. Agreed on the last play the guy going around the goal should have taken the shot. Never know what will happen at that point but at least it's a chance.

Big break for OSU happened at the end of one of your power plays when you guys hit the post and the ball fired a ways back to the guy coming out of the box and he turned around and led a break the other way for a goal. That was either the first or second goal in the comeback and they just kept coming after that.

You should be proud
