Will Colt Smith pitch again during the tourney?
He was pulled fairly early vs UTSA. Or will they just save him for a start in the regional?

If we get to the Championship, I think we'll see him. Just my guess though. Remember, if we get to host a regional (we should be a lock), then we'll be playing a 4 seed first game. Throw Keyes or Roberts and outslug them, then we have McCarty and Braley on the mound for the next two.

I don't think we're going to win the whole thing this year, but we have enough pitching to get to the CWS. Bats have to get hot again and have quality starts, something we didn't have yesterday.

I wouldn't throw Smith again unless it was for 20-25 pitches Sunday. Just to get some work in for him. He doesn't need to be used again just to try to win this tournament. Next week is what's important.

after losing yesterday's game and the 8 seed not being an option now, I only toss him in a match-up situation for an inning or two tops....

I would definitely throw Smith game 1 next weekend. Especially since I think we'll get a decent 4 seed (Jacksonville or Mercer). If TX Southern is the #4, MAYBE go with Keys.

McCarty game 2 then Braley game 3.
