Ugh can you just stop spewing the same **** over and over? Do you realize how old it gets? It sucks. I get it. We don't care about education in this state, and the country for real. If I agree with that will you stop spamming my posts with stuff not even remotely related to the conversation?

I'm talking about the state of soccer in Alabama being poor in general and you come with setf funding. It's beyond annoying.

Instructions for ignoring a poster:
1. Click on that posters name on the left side of one of his posts. This will take your to that posters profile page.
2. Once on the profile page scroll down to the bottom. On the right side you will see the following:

Add to Ignore List

3. Click.

Once completed you will see where a poster has made post, but the contents will be hidden. It does include an option to click to view a specific post, but should you do so, any annoyance is self-inflicted!

I shouldn't have to. The post is constantly made in about five different formats and completely off topic. Nothing is ever done and it's annoying. I had him on ignore and since he spews some dumb stuff in every other post had to take him off for anything else to make sense. If everybody picked a random topic to spout off about in any thread we wouldn't have anything UAB related left on this board.

Oh - I get it that for many UAB is all about sports and that education - and therefore its funding - has nothing to do with this discussion. After all, as long as the millionaires keep supporting our sports, we don't have to concern ourselves with school funding in Alabama. We lead the nation in cutting public school funding since 2008 and many don't seem concerned, and don't want to be bothered with it.

What does it matter that all 5 of our state's FBS schools must go out of state to get the impact level players in required quantity (about 80+%) to produce winning results. I am old enough to remember when Alabama schools won with mostly native Alabama public HS players.

I said I agreed with you on the treatment of education in this state. What more would you like me to say?

That rant had nothing to do with the quality of women's soccer(and soccer in general) in the state. Funding doesn't magically produce better players, coaches, and academies at the younger levels, which is why this state lags behind in soccer, not the SETF budget.

Then why is it that the top funded school districts have the top major sports programs? Just magical coincidence? Money is the "magical salve" that districts rub onto their programs to improve results. They have been "rubbing the money" on their district programs for many years, not just once in a while.

Again, that has nothing to do with the overall quality of the players in the state.

Sweet tea is good with or without lemon, but it's better with a little lemon.
