So I am looking to go back to grad school and so I needed my UNCW transcript to send to the graduate institution.

UNCW charges $8 for transcripts, ok no problem I can accept that.

But unless you go pick it up in person there is a handling fee

I ordered by transcript to be sent via email at about 10:25 AM

By 10:30 I got a response saying my transcript had been sent to the graduate school

So I paid $2.50 for someone/some system to send an email in a process that took all of 5 minutes.

I hate stupid fees so I just needed to vent.

that makes about as much sense as enduring the pain of grad school! :)

THAT is the kind of nonsense fees that if the gov't is serious about cleaning up excessive education costs... those are the ones that especially need to go.

I used to work for a graduate school within a university. Once somebody called to ask an applicant for her undergraduate transcript, and she said that she went undergraduate at that university.

If it took them 5 minutes, and they charge 2.50 that's only about $30 an hour. Just saying :)

I should have majored in transcript processing.
