Is It Reasonable To Believe That Xavier Could've Won 1 More Game With Sumner...?
Is it reasonable to believe that Xavier, with Edmond Sumner, their projected NBA 1st-round pick, could have won at least 1 more game in the NCAA's, and advanced to the 2017 Final Four.
Am i being reasonable? Yes, No, or Not Sure.

It was absolutely possible. Now, it is necessary to point out that it did not happen (and the injury caused a change to not only Xavier's season outcome, but others as well). However, to definitely state that it was not possible is just ignorance. No one knows what would have happened.

Like I've said- you can't just magically heal Summer right before the tourney. The path would have been different. Instead of being a 11 seed, with that path, they would have been a 4/5 seed, getting another 4/5 seed in rd 2, and then a 1 seed in the Regional SF.
Conceptually what you're saying makes sense. Make elite 8 without player, have player, go another round. If the injury had happened in the BET, I would agree with you 1000%. The path would be the same in the tourney. But in this case, the path would be entirely different.
