I presume that as the higher seed, FAU will be the "home" team again?

That's the way it usually is in the first round

RE: CUSA tournament
All games video streamed on ESPN3.

FAU offense is both powerful (67 HRs, with 7 different players with 5+ HRs) and shows great plate discipline (.404 OBP, averaging 6.7 BBs/HBPs per game). It was the leadoff BBs/HBPs that did us in that series (which I attended in Boca). Both Canterino and Esquivel pitched really well for 5 innings each, but that's when both were pitching consistently well (which has not been the case of late). They have a quality and deep bullpen, but their starting pitching is nothing to write home about.

I'm expecting a slug fest for breakfast on Monday.

RE: CUSA tournament
How is ODU's pitching at this time? Knowing that we won, what do folks expect their starting pitching strategy to be this afternoon and tomorrow?

RE: CUSA tournament
I believe ODU has a starter out with injury (Wilson). They're pitching Sinnon today who was their Friday starter last weekend. Bainbridge (who beat us as well earlier this year) would be their likely starter tomorrow. We don't have enough pitching nor any studs to hold out for a possible championship game. I would imagine Esquivel pitches tomorrow and Amador the game after that. The good thing about playing an early Wednesday game is we might be able to bring Canterino back for a few innings for a possible championship game on Sunday (maybe even Saturday if need be). Canterino did throw 113 pitches though so perhaps that's it for him this week. We'll see.

ODU is up 1-0 over FIU in the top of the 7th.

IF we were to get to Sunday with a chance....Canterino needs to be the guy. 4 days rest is enough when you're talking must win to save the season.

RE: CUSA tournament
The way I see it:

ODU/FIU: Esquivel followed by Moss/Myers/Jefferies
ODU/FIU/FAU: Amador followed by a totally rested bullpen (because we have Friday off)
ODU/FIU/FAU (Game 2 Saturday if necessary): Kravetz and whoever we didn't use in game 1.
USM/LT/Charlotte/UTSA: Canterino followed by any/everyone

I'm not even going to go into mental gymnastics over what would happen if we lost tomorrow, since I think we'd have zero chance.

ODU has tied it up on another FIU error. And they have runners on 2nd and 3rd with just one out. Extra innings would be fine.

I think Otto will still be available tomorrow afternoon if we have a small lead in the 9th. He didn't throw that many pitches today.

Yeah, I think he threw around 25-30 so not too bad. But to be honest: 1) I don't really feel more confident with him in the game vs. Myers/Moss/Jefferies 2) I'd rather have him ready to go long on Saturday/Sunday than pitch him potentially four out of five days.
