We've had 3 6+ run innings this weekend (though only one 8-spot, correcting an earlier post of mine).

Charlotte leads Marshall 8-5 in T8. If that holds, Rice remains the 6 seed for next week's tourney (regardless of "weather" or not we get a chance to complete the comeback here.

As for today's game... I'd love to get it but we'll have some more games to play to get over .500. Hopefully a LOT over .500. As long as we win 40, I won't quibble at all about the winning percentage. :)

Looking at the local Birmingham weather, I'd be surprised if they are able to finish the game.

I'm pretty sure that all the tournament seeds are now settled. That may reduce any motivation to get back on the field. Although if UAB was so bent on getting a couple more innings for their seniors, they may want to still get it in.

If I'm right about the tiebreakers, we'll open against 3. FAU and bracket with 2. ODU and 7. FIU

For all the talk of avoiding LATech and USM until the final.. that still puts us in a bracket we're 2-7 against this season. Well, maybe we'll be 5-7 against them by this time next week and looking forward to playing the roadrunners in the final!

They're trying to resume the game in an hour. Seems pretty unlikely to me but I guess they are going to wait it out...
