Ballin in Kentucky
How can one state have so much going on? Unfortunately our mate, WKU, is the target of unfounded rumors about cheating simply because they have successfully recruited at a high level. Who knows whether any of it is fact at this point.

Kentucky has John Calipari and looking at Memphis basketball when he left---nuff said.

And now this at Louisville.

All this leadership in the bluegrass state. Makes Virginia look pretty boring actually.

I can't decide if I want WKU to be found cheating like crazy or that they lucked out and got the right guy for the job.

The WKU coach is cheating. Like everyone else I hear stuff and occasionally from folks that should be in the know. All of them say he is cheating, the NCAA is investigating and it is just a matter of time. Now before those of you who like to explode on folks who have different opinions go after me allow me to add that if these folks I believe are proven wrong I will admit it but for now I believe them. Give it a year or two and we will probably know one way or the other. Of course, patience is not an attribute in big supply on message boards.

I know a good bit of former recruits.....mainly football, but some basketball. It's easy to cheat at a P5 school bc the NCAA wants to look the other way. It will be interesting to see if they are willing to look the other way for a G5 school.

WKU isn't generating the NCAA money. P5 schools (most of them anyway) are.

I'm just going to be naive and pretend WKU isn't cheating. We all want this conference to get better, and finally there's a team that's turning heads in basketball. We can't have a better conference without the other teams getting better. I welcome this change, and I look forward to our 2-3 stars beating some 4-5 stars this year.

I was trying to figure out a way to express my view on this, and then saw that you had done it for me. +1. Thanks.
